A 3-hour ride by the wheel of a buggy, along off-road paths along the mountain of Pico Island is like entering an adrenaline video game, but live and full of nature.
Each curve brings a new landscape: endemic plants, volcanic terrain and forests that look like exits from a fairy tale, with closed curves and natural obstacles, but the reward is priceless: an horizon that seems to have no end, with the blue sea contrasting with the intense green of the vegetation and the ash of the volcanic rock.
In the middle of the route, there is a short stop to recover breath and take pictures that will cause envy on social networks. It is also the time to feel the connection with nature: the wind in the face, the smell of volcanic earth and the sound of the waves in the distance.
Tip: Do not forget to bring sunglasses, comfortable clothes and your best smile, because this is an adventure that will stay recorded in memory!

5.00Excellent experience all around! Perfect way to see the beautiful island and the mountain without needing to commit to hiking it. The ride was long, not rushed, and all around so fun. Our guide was fantastic - thoughtful and kind and even packed us a delicious snack to enjoy on the journey. Definitely book this adventure!

4.00We had a great experience on the buggy tour. Trails were fun, good snack, and got to see Mount Pico. Enjoyed the guide and hotel pick up was a bonus to make the experience easy. Definitely one to include on your visit.

5.00We spent 3 hours driving around Pico’s various tracks. The views were stunning and we saw the island from a whole new perspective. Our guide was super friendly and looked after us very well. We stopped at a cave to explore and also got fed cheese and biscuits half way which was really tasty. Definitely book this activity, it was well worth the money. Super fun

4.00Was a second choice after we couldnt book whale watching but was so worth it! The views available from going off road and up to Mountain House at Mt Pico was fantastic. Rody was a great guide, super friendly and engaging. We were lucky it was just us!

5.00A tour of the Pico by the “bad roads” of the Madalena area in efficient, easy and fun SSV to drive. Congratulations to Paul and Brigite for efficiency and sympathy. The liquor at Casa da Montanha and the cheesecake and homemade sweets “surfing” the airport are delicious. Refacing... Good luck for this newborn adventure!
