Located just 15 minutes from downtown Liberia, Guanacaste, Rincon de la Vieja National Park offers a day of adventure and fun-filled activities. White water kayaking, rappelling, horseback riding, and canopy tours are all available for you and your family to enjoy.

Enjoy a typical Costa Rican buffet lunch and relax in the hot springs. Closed shoes, sunscreen, and a swimsuit are recommended.

WHITE WATER KAYAK: Enjoy a fabulous adventure with your friends and family on the Colorado River Rapids; Ride in a two-person inflatable kayak; Enjoy the thrills of Class II & III rapids. *Approximately 1 hour. RAPPEL: Rappel and climb this impressive natural rock wall, on the bank of the river. *Approximately 20 minutes per person to descend and ascend. HORSEBACK RIDE: Experience the beautiful scenery of our tropical dry forest, with mountain vistas while riding a horse. Take a dip in the “Happy monkey” natural pool along the way. *Approximately 45 minutes. CANOPY TOUR: Zip along in the trees on our canopy tour which includes 9 lines and 17 platforms, offering incredible views of the canyon and the forest as you soar over the Colorado River and its surrounding tropical dry forest. The activities and staff at Cañon de la Vieja were incredible. We went zip lining high over the river across 8 platforms - fast and fun. Lunch was delicious traditional Costa Rican food buffet. Tubing was wild - almost all of us fell out in the Class 3 rapids and the guides had to pull us out of the water and back on our tubes. There was one lady kayaking with the guide instead, and that looked safer. I've got bruises and scrapes and am very sore from tubing but it was still fun. Horseback riding and hot springs were lovely and relaxing. The whole tour took longer than expected - partly due to heavy traffic there and back from Tamarindo/Langosta. We left at 8:30 am (the guide Cristian would have preferred 7 am) and got back at 8:30 pm. He was polite but not communicative - we constantly had to ask what was happening next and what we needed to do. Still a tour to remember!

We had a family of 21 needing various transports and excursions. Christian was prompt and reliable. He was informative about Costa Rica and took great care of us at each stop. We did the zip lining, horseback riding, and tubing with hot springs and mud bath. It is a must! We had one of the funnest days of my life!

Christian and the other driver were very nice and helpful. The vans were clean and air conditioning was comfortable in the 100 degree weather.

10/10 experience! Christian spent the whole week with us from the time he picked us up at the airport always on time and with a smile. We are very happy with his service and would recommend to anyone.

Great from the start. Arrived on time. Gave us a stop along the way to use the restroom and grab a bite. Then he told us the low down the difference between 2 hikes, 1 around volcano, 1 to waterfall. We choose waterfall. Amazing guides there Harvey & his wife Rose (she tagged along thank goodness). 3 of the 4 of us made it all the way. 1 was over taken by the extreme humidity. We come from the desert. Harvey was knowledgeable about our surroundings and showed us some really cool plants, trees and even the Lion King rock. We crossed the river several times and saw 2 waterfalls total. Then went on to lunch a typical Costa Rican meal with the rice, beans, plantains and salad & protein. From there we were able to zip line around the property. And finally we stopped at the hot springs where we got a mud bath, washed off in the river & then soaked in the hot & cool springs. Only to enjoy Croatian driving us back after an exhaustive day. Now as the writer of this review, if you get car sick, sit up front. This is why I missed half of the events (2nd hot spring & zip line). But sat up front on way home & was finally able to eat dinner. But the beauty was amazing, the rain storm while sitting in the river awesome. Great day, great driver, guides and trip! Fully recommend to all.
