Espiritu Santo Island is an incredible paradise that you will never forget!
The experience of swimming with sea lions is very nice, they are playful and they usually come close to interact with the swimmers.
(During the months of June, July, and August, swimming with sea lions in their rookery is not allowed, so we just see them from the boat and snorkel and/or hike at another site of the island)
We always try to take our clients to the beaches where there are less people, so that they get a unique experience with the feeling of adventure that we like so much.
Finally, learning about the history of the ancient settlers, the fauna and flora of the area, the current lifestyle of the locals, and being accompanied by marine biologist guides will make your day a very enriching one.
It can only be visited on boats with permits and certified guides.

Snorkel with friendly sea lions at Los Islotes (colony of over 600 sea lions). During June, July, and August (reproductive season) we snorkel at other sites, like rocky reefs that hopefully also have sea lions! Lunch on a sandy beach and turquoise water of the island (shade, benches, towels, ceviche, chips, water, and soda) Visit to points of interest on the island (abandoned pearl farm, mangroves, rock formations, and bird colonies). Chance to see dolphins, whales, and/or manta rays (mobulas).

5.00From the beginning Juan Carlos, our guide, and Alexis, our captain, were welcoming and made us all very comfortable on the boat. Juan Carlos was very informative about the ecosystem and the birds and animals that inhabit the area. Juan Carlos was even able to find my husband and I fins because we left ours at home. We failed to let them know before the trip! Juan Carlos and Alexis made sure we all felt safe in the water and gave us an incredible experience with the sea lions. The fish population in the area was also amazing. Once at our beach destination we enjoyed wonderful ceviche and snacks. Our family will always remember this experience and how well we were taken care of by our guides. Thank you a million times over!!!!!

5.00Mateo was a wealth of information about the ecology and animals and Victor was an excellent and kind captain. We loved that the boat was small and the group was intimate and not crowded and noisy. We truly enjoyed the pristine beauty and swimming with the sea lions and the delicious fresh lunch on the beach. Our guides had deep respect for the area and for the wildlife. Would highly recommend this tour!

5.00Fantastic trip out with enthusiastic friendly guide! Super scenic to even ride the boat out, and very helpful guides ensured our snorkeling experience was easy and fuss free! Awesome close encounters with small and massive sea-lions, and beautiful marine fish. Amazing prepared ceviche for lunch too! Would highly recommend

5.00Must do experience while you are in La Paz. We were lucky and ran into a group of dolphins which added to an already great experience. The unique views of the island and to top it off the sea lions. We had a great time and highly recommend this to anyone

5.00Particularly lucky as there were only 4 of us on board for the tour today. We were in the water 2 x 40 minutes, swimming around the island. There was more to see underwater than I could have ever imagined, and plenty of spins and bubble blowing from the pups! Lunch was a tropical twist on a ceviche and better than I'd had in restaurants! MTA crew did an outstanding job of running the day's tour.

5.00What an amazing experience! Juan Carlos and Alberto were excellent guides, so knowledgeable and friendly. You can tell they love taking people out to the island. The equipment was nice and the Captain kept it smooth the whole time. MTA runs a great trip, highly recommend.

5.00The experience was perfect. The boat was comfortable. The trip out to the snorkeling area was long, but they stopped along the way to point out signs. The guide was incredibly kind and enthusiastic. The sea lions were the high light, but even without them the snorkeling would have been incredible with so may types of fish. Lunch was ceviche and it was perfect. A must do tour

5.0010/10 worth the price. Half day tour, and between the beaches and the wildlife, we are planning to come back and do this again next year. Sad to say I forgot my GoPro for this go around so no great pictures of the animals. The amount of different types of wildlife you get to see is outstanding! The sea lions and getting to see sea turtles were the icing on the cake. It was only about 10 of us and they even provided lunch. The staff is wonderful and gave lots of information about Espiritu. Such a beautiful place!
