Transfer from our hotel to the airport was part of our accommodation package. Our resort uses Atmosphere for this service. While waiting for the representative to show us which van to board, he stood under cover, while we stood in the pouring rain. Atmosphere then loaded us into a van. The driver was rude, talking very aggressively on the phone while trying to determine if we were on her list for transfer. After several moments, we were told to get out of this van and move, in the pouring rain, to a different van, which was up the street. This is the van that ultimately took us to the airport. It was hot, crowded and with inoperable air-con. Our suggestion is to use a different transfer company.

Booked day prior online. Provided flight details. Unable to book in a preferred pick up time online. Pick up time provided was within 3hours of flight departure. Flight was 3.15pm. Provided a pick up of 12.35-12:45. Which was later than I would have preferred. 1:00 came around and couldn't wait any longer. Booked a taxi. By 1:10pm booking still didn't show up. Took taxi instead.

We had atmosphere arranged as part of our travel package for our return transfers to the airport. I didn’t receive any confirmation, and emailed atmosphere beforehand to confirm pickup time and booking. They responded within a few hours so no worries. They arrived on time, we missed other guests from other resorts as they weren’t on time & delayed our arrival to the airport but luckily it didn’t affect our boarding. All in all we had good transfers through Atmosphere.

Courteous and on time. Didn’t have to worry about getting to the airport on time. Our driver took care of this. It was also easy to email and call for an exact pickup time (it was raining and we didn’t want to stand around and get wet waiting).

You are not going to believe this could happen so read on for an entertaining story of mishaps and misadventure.... Now where do I start of everything that went wrong with this booking? Firstly the arranged hotel to airport transfer company was ATMOSPHERE TOURS - in a nutshell, I would STAY WELL AWAY from them. I received no confirmation of the booking from Atmosphere Tours and no confirmation of the pick-up time from the hotel. So I sent a message via Viator asking about pick up time and received a message "noted". Well that told me nothing. So I messaged back again with my question about pick up time and they replied 1.00-1.30 saying they would email the resort to confirm pick up time by COB the day prior. I thought that emailing the hotel was useless so I messaged back asking to email me directly or send a message to me via WhatsApp and they replied "noted" again. The day prior to pick up I had not received the promised confirmation email or message to advise the pick-up time. So I contacted them again via Viator message at 2.13pm but received no reply. OMG! I waited until 9.23pm before I started to panic and messaged them directly via WhatsApp. They kindly replied 13 minutes later confirming my name and pick up time at 1.10pm. So then I felt relieved. But what if I didn’t bother trying to get in touch? What would have happened if anything? But wait: There's more! The next day we were waiting promptly at 1.00pm. This huge (difficult to navigate) Atmosphere Tours bus with a luggage trailer on the back, pulled up at the resort at 1.06pm. I though great and approached the driver. However he said that I wasn’t on his pick-up list. They had pulled into our resort to pick up someone else. Seriously!!! Anyway I showed the driver my airport transfer booking with Atmosphere Tours and he agreed to take us on the bus. But what if he wasn’t stopping at our resort to pick up other passengers? We would have been left standing there and missed our plane. But it gets better. This huge bus navigated down narrow dead end roads and paths to collect other people. Each time they had to disengage the luggage trailer and do a 10 point turn in a very narrow space. So much time wasted. At one point in busy Port Vila town, they had to pick up people on the other side of the road. They managed to do a U- turn via a carpark to collect these people. But then they couldn’t turn back around so ended up doing a huge detour around the back roads of Port Vila wasting even more time. At this stage most people were wondering if we were going to get to the airport on time. And luckily we did. But let me say NEVER AGAIN WITH ATMOSHERE TOURS!

The operator arrived on time in a good vehicle and helped with our luggage. The van had a logo (most don’t) so it was obvious when our ride arrived.

Apparently theur were a misunderstanding regarding my apartment creating a delay hopefully Georges replied quickly to my What's app message and brought to the airport in no time, very efficient and nice guy.

Well this was a much better van and journey to the airport from the hotel compared to my arrival. The van was quite new, well air-conditioned, with comfortable seats and enough space for everyone's luggage. I still think the company who was in email communication with me could have told me pick up time as the hotel didn't share that until I asked half an hour before pick up was scheduled. Luckily for that! Will use again.
