At the core, we’re a family business with our management team being 6th & 7th generation Banks Peninsula locals. Alongside our family members, we have a passionate team who are committed to you having a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

We keep our passenger groups small so that you have more room to move around the boat, and enjoy your cruise without overcrowding or missing dolphin sightings due to a shortage of viewing space. Our boat has a low-lying profile which means you get closer to the wildlife!

When you board our boat you’ll be offered a complimentary drink. Choose from beer, award-winning local wine or non-alcoholic options. You’ll also enjoy our famous home-baked treats made from our family recipe and served to you by our delightful onboard crew.

We are committed to the conservation of our harbour's environment and wildlife. After all, it’s the centre point of our business.

*Check-in is 30 minutes prior to the departure, with boarding 15 minutes beforehand.

As a holder of a New Zealand Department of Conservation Marine Mammal Viewing Permit, we are legally authorized to take guests on dolphin and seal viewing tours. We are proud to be one of only two year-round operators in Akaroa Harbour with this permit, so we encourage you to choose responsibly. Enjoy a 2-hour nature cruise on our luxury catamaran in Akaroa Harbour, a hotspot for Hector's dolphins, White-flippered penguins, and New Zealand fur seals. While we can't guarantee sightings as the animals are wild, we have a high success rate. If you don't see dolphins, cruise with us again for free. Our friendly check-in team, skippers, onboard guides, and expert dolphin-spotting dogs equipped with life-vests will ensure an unforgettable experience. As a conservation measure, we do not swim with the dolphins. To redeem a voucher, promotion code, or Top10 membership card, please contact us directly via phone or email. We cannot offer discounts after a booking has been made online. Please note, check-in is no later than 30 minutes prior to the departure, with boarding 15 minutes beforehand.

Amazing!! Must do if in akaroa. We saw beautiful scenery and a lot of wildlife, including so many dolphins. Crew was friendly, engaging, and informative. And of course Wilbur (ship “dolphin dog”), stole the show by making the rounds to get pets from everyone. :)
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Loved Wilbur, the dolphin spotting dog. Saw a good amount of dolphins and a baby.

Outstanding trip! Fabulous staff - friendly, knowledgeable and so kind! We saw several pods of dolphin including a mother and her calf. They followed us for quite sometime, giving the odd display. It was so delightful to watch. As the dolphin disappeared, we saw seals and an albatross. Family owned and run, conservation at their heart. Absolutely could not fault them! Thank you for saving my hat too!

Loved the trip out on the catamaran. Beautiful trip but unfortunately the dolphins were not out. Got a ticket to go out again for free though. Small vessell with lovely friendly staff, skipper and albie the dog to help with the dolphin search. Delicious home made biscuit and complimentary drink.

What a great time on the bay seeing wildlife and just relaxing. Captain Dave and first mate, Hannah, doing a great job running the show and sharing their wealth of knowledge. Their hospitality was exceptional. Highly recommend.

Departure was on time and within 1/2 hour we saw the first dolphins, groups of 3 and 6. Crew was very friendly and helpful

This was a fun couple of hours on a beautiful day. Skipper Dave was great with a lively dialogue about the area and the dolphins/seals/birds we were able to see. Hanna served us a lovely glass of wine/beer and cookies at the end. She was a great spotter and made sure we saw what she was seeing! We really enjoyed talking with both Dave and Hanna. Wilbur the dog was very sweet and we couldn't believe how he could navigate the different areas on the boat!

We loved every minute of the cruise. Awesome service with a smile by Dave and Hannah. Informative commentary (but not boring!). Albie the dog was so cool! Appreciated having a wine/beer and a cookie... such a great vibe. Thanks, and we will come again when we next visit Akaroa. :-)
