  The river located on the outskirts of Akosombo, has grandeur because of its location and the size of the stream. In Akosombo itself there is little to do here. There is a very busy thoroughfare for trucks and other through traffic and a restaurant visit is not pleasant with the exhaust fumes and chaotic traffic within walking distance of a table. There are also no opportunities to do a walk ...etc. Only in the expensive hotels is there sometimes a pleasure yacht that you can book for at least 30 min and / or there is a swimming pool (minimum size). Rather aimed at families and groups. The further WLI waterfalls were worth a visit.

  I don’t know where to start. From beginning to end, our trip was fantastic. We had a group of approximately 26 people, traveling from all over the U.S. to Ghana and from the very beginning, Biney had a huge smile on his face. Ruth was also fantastic. The guide kept us informed, organized things behind the scene and was always available to answer questions about food, money exchange or Ghana in general. We never had to look too far for a smiling face. We started in Accra, traveled to Kumasi, Bonwire, Cape Coast and back to Accra and everything was safe, organized, educational and FUN! Our group shared all the laughs. I cannot recommend this travel guide group enough. I plan to return!
