Observe wild Alaskan Bears in their natural habitat on this 5- 6-hour day trip from Homer. Depart by bush plane and fly past volcanoes and glaciers en route to viewing locations in Katmai National Park and Preserve. You'll spend several hours on the ground while your pilot/guide narrates the behavior of Coastal Brown (aka Grizzly) bears.

Board a Bush Plane at Homer Alaska Airport for a small-group trip to Katmai National Park & Preserve or Lake Clark National Park (depending on weather and Bear activity), both of which offer unparalleled bear-viewing opportunities. The exact location will change throughout the season as Alaska's coastal brown bears follow their food source, which moves from sedge meadows and clamming in the spring to chasing wild salmon later in the summer. Fly past glaciers and volcanoes en route to your destination Upon landing, prepare to hike up to 3 miles (4.8 km) over uneven, soft, or muddy terrain to views of grizzlies roaming and hunting for food in their natural environment — sightings guaranteed. You'll spend approximately 3 hours on the ground in this wild bear habitat and learn from your guide about safe viewing practices along the way. Then hop back aboard your aircraft for the return flight to Homer Please note: fish products and bear spray of any kind are prohibited on this tour.

5.00ONCE IN A LIFETIME EXPERIENCE! A must do when traveling to Homer, Alaska.. You won’t be disappointed once you spend time with these beautiful Brown Bears, I assure you. My husband and I decided to book this trip after a suggestion of a friend we worked with. I am so glad we did, it was phenomenal. The photos we took and the knowledge we obtained from our guide was amazing.. I know you can book this specific tour through multiple companies in Homer and Seward, Alaska.. Adventure Airways is the way to do it. They definitely had a family business vibe that was personal to them, making sure that their customers were 100% satisfied with their experience. It was one of the best experiences of our lives. You won’t be disappointed.

5.00Went with my wife and we saw a bunch of bears! It was great. Also Trent, Judy and Tater are all so nice! We had a fantastic time. Didn’t do too much hiking because all the bears were all gathered in one area which was nice.

5.00Such an amazing trip with wonderful hosts! We saw so many bears! Recommend highly! Our guide was so calming and knowledgeable! The seaplane was smooth as silk and we all took naps ! lol

5.00Trip of a lifetime and memories of a lifetime. Thank you, Trent, for the most amazing experience, truly exceeded our expectations. The flights over and back were smooth and beautiful. At Katmai, we walked over two miles in hip waders, through streams and grassy fields and saw so many bears. Several approached quite close, but we felt safe trusting Trent’s judgement.

5.00My husband and I went on they trip for bear viewing trip at Brooks Falls. It was the trip of a lifetime. We flew with Trent in his Beaver on floats and had a great trip over. Trent is an excellent pilot and we always felt very safe and confident in his flying. Once we got to Brooks Lodge we were on the ground for 3 hours. It was an awesome trip and experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to view these amazing animals!

5.00Superlative! We were originally scheduled to go to Katmai but the fog prevented us from flying there and being able to safely depart. So Adventure Airways happily refunded us our $ but then suggested an alternative trip to Lake Clark National Park. We took that trip, and it turned out better than the one we originally wanted. The flight was short and well executed. Once we arrived, we saw at least six bears, including a mother and her three cubs frolicking on a beach, all from the comfort of a private and well-outfitted pontoon boat. We saw a juvenile bald eagle and multiple other birds. And of course, many salmon. Our guide Jessica Gable (based in Readout Mountain Lodge) was great too. Very informative and accommodating. For lunch they served us fresh cought sockeye salmon (which was amazing), rice and salad. Though they did check whether we had any dietary restrictions in advance. Would 100% recommend to anyone, especially families with kids who may complain about hiking long distances but still want to see bears.

5.00This was such an amazing trip! We got to see so many bears up close on the beach at Lake Clark! Trent was very knowledgeable about the bears and the area. Even with a bit of wind and rain this was a 10/10 experience! Highly recommend!!

5.00What an amazing experience! We were surrounded by so many bears! The pictures don’t even do it justice. Trent was great guide with some much knowledge and made us feel safe the whole time. I loved it so much I’m coming back again but trying out a different tour! Wish I could give more than five stars!
