This is a perfect tour for the heritage and medival age lovers!
Albi is a small and quiet town, and Cordes sur Ciel is a small village. Although the walk is easy in alby, it is steep in Cordes sur Ciel, but no worries, if there is some difficulties from a few travelers to walk, I drive up the hill.

In the morning we depart for the city of Albi, a newly declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Among the buildings of the town is the Saint Cecilia cathedral, a masterpiece of Southern Gothic architecture, built between the 13th and 15th centuries characterised by a strong contrast between its austere, defensive exterior and its sumptuous interior decoration. Lunch in a restaurant.
Halle de Cordes-sur-Ciel
In the afternoon, we visit Cordes sur Ciel. The steep ascent transports you back to medieval times, past the porches, battlements, sculpted facades of the Grand Ecuyer and the Grand Veneur and the splendid 18th century Gothic mansions that belonged to wealthy traders. The narrow winding alleyways up to city are also peppered with galleries and craft shops. Painters, writers, ceramicists, sculptors and jewellers were drawn to this inspiring place many years ago and the tradition continues. On misty mornings, Cordes sur ciel truly lives up to its name as it seems to float in the sky.

5.00Great tour ver knowledgeable and personable guide. The two sites are really interesting. The Toulouse-Lautrec museum in Albi was a bonus. Cordes-sur-Ciel alone would merit the tour

5.00Great way to experience Albi & Cordes-sur-Ciel - Olivia is an experienced, engaged and engaging guide who was very accommodating of our interests and expectations. She shared many bits of information that only a local could, including the many random questions we had not only about the immediate region but also about France, and French people, culture and history. She also took a genuine interest in us and our previous experiences, which helped make the time spent travelling between locations fly. No hesitation in recommending the experience to others.

5.00We took a 1/2 day and full day tour with Olivia, and both tours were amazing. For the 1/2 day tour, we did a walking tour of the Cité Médiévale Carcassonne with a trip to a local winery afterwards. Olivia's knowledge of the history and architecture of La Cité Médiévale was amazing, and gave us so much insight into how and why the city was built the way it is. She took the time to point out unique architectural features and told us some famous stories of the city. It enhanced our enjoyment so much to get the stories behind the incredible things we were seeing! She also gave us recommendations for things to do on our own later in the day, which was lovely! The next day, Olivia picked us up from our AirBnB, luggage in hand, and took us on a full day tour from Carcassonne to Albi and Cordes sur Ciel, and then dropped us off at our AirBnB in Toulouse at the end of the day. I cannot say enough about Olivia's knowledge of the local history and architecture, beyond just the cities we visited. She is absolutely amazing, and we learned so much about the Occitanie region. Equally important to her knowledge of the area, was the connection we made with her. We felt completely comfortable with Olivia from the first moment we met her. We chatted easily with her during our drives between stops and never felt awkward or uncomfortable with her. She also knew the spots to stop and get great photos! If you're considering a private tour in the Occitanie region of France, I absolutely recommend that you connect with Olivia. You won't regret it. It was worth every Euro we spent, to have our enjoyment of these beautiful places enhanced by her knowledge and expertise. She was simply amazing, and definitely a highlight of our trip!

5.00Having lunch with an amazing view at Alibi. Olivia is amazing. We would take a tour again. We learned so much from her and since we speak very little French her ability to talk with us in English was great. My favorite tour we took while in France

5.00My parents and I took this tour. Marina was a great guide, knowledgeable and patient since we had to take a slower pace because of my parents. They especially love Albi and the Cathedral. Cordes sur Ciel was beautiful, but it may have been too much walking for my parents by the end of the day. The driver dropped us off as far up as he could but by the end of the day it may have been too much for my parents.
This is an excellent tour of Albi and Cordes Sur Ciel, and Olivia is a wonderful guide. Highly recommended!

5.00We had a fantastic day out with Olivia exploring Albi and Cordes sur Ciel. Olivia was really friendly and took us to places we would not have been able to reach ourselves. Just the right amount of commentary along the way. Terrific restaurant choice in Albi. 10/10 day. Highly recommended.
