The origin of the Real Alcazar of Seville dates from the time of the High Middle Ages, although some areas of Islamic art that impress with its delicacy are preserved. In any case, Mudejar art and Gothic style predominate, but Renaissance and Baroque elements were added later.
Over the centuries, it has been the residence of the members of the Spanish Royal Family in Seville. Even today, it remains for the exclusive use of royalty, except for tourist visits.
This complex includes many wonderful features. The quaintest is the Patio de las Doncellas, with its ponds that reflect the intricate mudéjar plasterwork for which this palace is known for.

1.00I booked a tour to the Alcázar Palace one month in advance, trusting this company to handle everything properly. However, just two days before my visit, they informed me that they couldn’t arrange the tickets due to the palace being “too busy.” This is completely unacceptable. A company offering tours should have proper planning and coordination, especially when customers book well ahead of time. Informing me at the last minute left me with no time to find an alternative and completely disrupted my travel plans. Very unprofessional and unreliable service. I do not recommend this company to anyone who values proper organization and communication.

1.00I booked the Alcazar tour with a guide for October 24th 3 pm 2025 and got confirmation email on October. A day before the tour, Alcazar cancelled the tour. There are no tix left to buy to see Alcazar either during our 3 day stay now. It was the one monument my family wished to see which now will not happen. Unacceptable and terrible service , do not book!
