The origin of the Real Alcazar of Seville dates from the time of the High Middle Ages, although some areas of Islamic art that impress with its delicacy are preserved. In any case, Mudejar art and Gothic style predominate, but Renaissance and Baroque elements were added later.

Over the centuries, it has been the residence of the members of the Spanish Royal Family in Seville. Even today, it remains for the exclusive use of royalty, except for tourist visits.

This complex includes many wonderful features. The quaintest is the Patio de las Doncellas, with its ponds that reflect the intricate mudéjar plasterwork for which this palace is known for.

We didn't make the tour! It was very unclear of the meeting place. We went to the palace to be told that we needed to find the office. By the time we got to the address and still couldn't find it the tour had left anyway. We were not offered an alternative time or a refund.

Unfortunately we did not meet our tour guide we were in the right meeting spot but no sign of the tour guide. We could not book directly as it was fully booked extremely disappointed as we are leaving today.

This tour did not turn out as planned. The guide showed up 45 minutes late. Several people had issues with their headphones. The whole tour was rushed and we really didn’t learn anything in the short period of time. We did not have any time to visit the gardens. We have requested a refund. Our day in Seville was ruined because this tour was the highlight and turned out to be a waste of time
