The origin of the Real Alcazar of Seville dates from the time of the High Middle Ages, although some areas of Islamic art that impress with its delicacy are preserved. In any case, Mudejar art and Gothic style predominate, but Renaissance and Baroque elements were added later.

Over the centuries, it has been the residence of the members of the Spanish Royal Family in Seville. Even today, it remains for the exclusive use of royalty, except for tourist visits.

This complex includes many wonderful features. The quaintest is the Patio de las Doncellas, with its ponds that reflect the intricate mudéjar plasterwork for which this palace is known for.

We had an excellent tour guide named Laura. She was informative. Funny didn’t walk or talk too fast, but let us roam a little on our own as well. It was an excellent tour and a beautiful site to see.
Local agent forgot to buy tickets for us.

The local agent did not buy the tickets for us and for the other 3 persons. We needed to wait for 20 min in the sun at 3pm in June!

Our tour guide Manuella was cheerful, professional, courteous, & knowledgeable. From the time we met with her till the time the tour ended, she was an absolute pleasure to be with. The only reason I did not give 5 star is because of terrible phone support at Naturanda. Prior to meeting with her, my family of 2, & another family of 4 who were at the lion gate (entry to alcazar), were a little worried about the tour guide finding us since we later realized that the meeting point was somewhere else.. So when I called naturanda reserva (+34 654 87 1750), to let them know we are here, they were polite but not helpful. As they kept saying stand by a tree & I even sent them a picture of lion gate with several trees to know which tree!! They did not answer my whatsApp chat, & twice kept hanging up on me when called again.
It was not her fault but it was so hot and it made it feel too longit
