Hidden behind unassuming doors on Seel Street lies Alcotraz, a spekeasy prison staffed with crooked guards to help you smuggle liquor past the Warden and get it into the hands of the "longest-serving" inmates.

Inspired by Hollywood Movies and TV that have brought to life prison stories, Alcotraz is Liverpool's first immersive theatrical cocktail bar. From the orange jumpsuits upon entrance, to the real metallic cells, Alcotraz becomes the perfect backdrop to enjoy delicious, bespoke cocktails within an epic yet intimate environment.

You won’t find a set menu of drinks here, after all, it is prison! Alcotraz creates a range of tailored cocktails every night based on the liquor you bring and your tastes. Luckily, Inmate Cassidy has the Guards are on your side who have creative ways of hiding contraband.

You will receive four cocktails made from the liquor you smuggle with you. Please remember to bring your own bottle of liquor. We recommend 1 x 35cl per two.

You won’t find a set menu of drinks here…after all, it is prison! The working inmates of Alcotraz will be serving unique, personalised cocktails behind bars using the liquor that visiting convicts will have smuggled in and your personal tastes. As new inmates you can expect to see your illegally smuggled liquor combined with liqueurs, bitters and homemade syrups to make bespoke, contemporary and classic cocktails perfect for your time behind bars. Be as creative as you can with your attempts to smuggle-in liquor. Alternatively, Inmate Cassidy has got the Guards on your side who have their own system for hiding contraband. Just make sure the Warden doesn’t catch you.

Didn’t know what to expect but had a great time! Actors and set were very good and the cocktails were lovely and well presented. Everyone interacted well and everything was explained and easy to do. Went as a couple and shared a cell with two lovely ladies and all very friendly. Lots of photo opportunities. Would definitely recommend for couples or larger groups. Easy to get to from Lime St station too

Very entertaining interactive theatre with cocktails. From the moment the doors slam shut and the crazy prison guards arrive you are immersed in the notorious world of Alcotraz Penitentiary. Wearing any colour you like, as long as it’s orange, you better behave, or the warden will not be happy. Whatever you do, don’t try to smuggle in a bottle gin, like Dirty Danni, who hid one in her… If you play your cards right (but no gambling), you’ll be lucky to get parole after an hour and 3/4.
If you want yo laughed till your sides hurt sipping on the best cocktails in town this is the place for you!!

Amazing experience, so funny and would definitely recommend. Setting was great, staff were fantastic and kept in character the whole time. Cocktails were the best we had all weekend - 5 star to the bar people! We have never laughed so much, it really made our weekend. Thank you x
