Our adventure begins in Alghero, ascending into a more secluded and uninhabited inland area. Along the way, we'll share the contrasts between Alghero and the rest of the island as you take in the breathtaking views of the Gulf of Alghero.
We will pause to discuss the native plants of the Mediterranean scrub and their traditional uses. Leaving the main road, we'll venture onto a secondary path traditionally used by local shepherds to navigate between their lands. This journey will lead us to a unique panoramic viewpoint offering a stunning vista of the entire Gulf of Alghero—a sight not to be missed!
As we continue, we’ll pass through cork oak forests where you'll learn about cork production. Our next stop is an archaeological park, where you'll dive into the history and culture of the Nuragic civilization.
The journey takes us back along the coast, providing an opportunity to spot and admire griffon vultures, the majestic lords of the wind. Before heading back, we'll make a final stop at a nearby beach to enjoy a typical Sardinian aperitif featuring local delicacies.

5.00The only day trip from Alghero that doesn't involve a boat! Wonderful trip south of Alghero, stopping to view wildlife and biodiversity, visit to an ancient Nuraghe site, fabulous views over Alghero, and a brief stop at a beautiful beach for some cheese, wine, etc.

5.00Very nice tour with skilled guides who are very competent. You get a greater understanding and insight into the history of the island and the tour ended with some wine and snacks with nice views.

5.00A fascinating and beautiful way to learn about the history / culture and wildlife of Alghero and areas inland. Fabio is a fantastic host with so much information ready to share. We got great views of the griffon vultures and learnt a lot about the nuragic culture and people. The food and drink tasters at the end of the trip were lovely as well. Highly recommend this trip!

5.00This was our second trip with Fabio following a boat tip the day before with Progetto Natura - dolphin watching and snorkelling. The jeep tour was great with only 8 people so it felt really personalised. We made a number of stops to learn about the flora and fauna of the area, including specific plants and cork trees…and sheep and cows. We were lucky enough to see a a few griffins (binoculars provided) at a stop along the coastal road. Plus, there was a photo stop for great view of the coastline. During the tour, we also stopped at Parco Archeologico Nuraghe Appiu where we learnt about the Nuragic civilisation and went inside one of the towers (home to some bats too). On the way back, we stopped at a picturesque location by the sea to taste local meats, cheeses and wines. Again, Fabio was really informative and shared his knowledge and love of the island with us. A lovely way to end the tour. We would highly recommend the trip as it covers a little of everything in 5 hours. Our thanks again to Fabio for being so friendly and sharing his knowledge of the area with us.

5.00We had a lovely trip and learned a lot. Fabio's breadth of knowledge was astonishing. He was a most informative and enthusiastic guide. The itinerary covered botany, archaeology, history and more, and Fabio was well able for questions and discussions on every topic. We particularly enjoyed the guided visit to the great Nuraghic monument, where we learned a lot more than we would have on our own. Also beautiful views and nice wine and cheese to be enjoyed. Grazie!

5.00I took part in this excursion to learn about a reality different from the one we usually think about talking about Alghero, namely sea and beaches. I was really and totally satisfied: the excursion is a concentrate of interesting and engaging experiences, thanks to the explanations of our guide Fabio. Spectacular views, local flora, flight of griffins, nuraghe and finally a welcome aperitif based on local specialties.

5.00Amazing Tour with a fantastic guide, Fabio. This was one of our best memories of our honeymoon in Sardinia! Fabio took us to the most breathtaking seaside views of the island, into the history of Sardinian ancestor tribes (Nuraghe), observing fauna and flora of the island. We truly recommend this amazing experience. We did the Off-Road Tour on the 24th of Octobre 2024.
