  My two sons, aged 27 & 23, and I (65), had the most wonderful adventure staying at the Algonquin lodge on Surprise Lake. Terry and Baris, and the rest of the staff, were amazing, so knowledgeable about the local fauna and flora and made us feel safe and relaxed. We canooed, hiked and chilled, and enjoyed the company of our fellow travellers. The food was excellent and the weather was perfect too!

  We decided to do a short get away at the end of the summer and this was perfect. The staff was highly competent in providing the group with an exceptional wilderness experience. The hiking, canoeing, and exploring in a beautiful outdoors environment was relaxing and stimulating. The knowledge and the holistic approach to nature and the surroundings reminds us that the world is more than concrete buildings. The the group was diverse and the staff made every effort to blend the individuals. The cabin is comfortable and the food was appetizing and delicious.

  We are a family of 4, parents in mid/late 50s, 20 year old daughter and 17 year old son. We were on a 3 day adventure with Beris and Jaden, and absolutely loved it. The scenery is wonderful, and the cabin fantastic. The activities are also great and don't need too much energy. Food was great too, cooked on site by Syd.   We all absolutely LOVED this adventure!!🫎We had 12 ladies 50 & 60 yrs young. The cabin is so cozy, quaint & beautiful!!! It’s the perfect place to be able to relax if you decided to do the adventures or not!. We had Syd as our chef which catered to all of our dietary needs along with her amazing presentation of each meal she served! We had all of our meals & snacks prepared for us either in the dining room in the cabin, in the screened in porch, around a camp fire, on the dock & on an island with open fire camp out with blueberry pancakes, bacon, fresh fruit & perked delicious coffee! It was all relaxing & amazing. We had the best guides ever! Baris & Jaeden are so passionate about the land & everything they did with us & for us. They were so great to be around. We learnt so many new things in the forest while laughing & seeing beautiful wildlife.   This was an outstanding trip with an absolutely fabulous tour company. Very well organized, we were taken care of every step of the way. I can’t say enough about the guides as they were so kind and so helpful and knowledgeable. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this trip to anyone. We are two over 60 year old ladies and managed just fine. A trip like this has been on my bucket list and I’m so glad that I did it and that I did it with Voyager quest and their wonderful staff. Having a professional photographer along with us, we were able to canoe to the places the moose hang out and capture some fantastic photos. Thanks to everyone that made this a trip of a lifetime for me.

  It was an amazing getaway in an off-the-grid location, connecting with mother nature, trying out canoeing for the first time, and canoeing when it was pitch dark! It was an awesome experience seeing the moonrise! And also hiking even when it was raining. Emily and Evan were great hosts and Dawn cooked all the yummy food! The cabin was so comfy. • An unforgettable nature experience with great guides

  We decided as a couple, as friends, as part of our Canada vacation for the 3 days canoe tour. When we arrived at the Log Cabin (parking lots right in front of the cabin) we were greeted very friendly by the cook and our guides Bethany and Andson. The log cabin is very cozy and is heated with an open fire. There is no electricity, but there are small camping lanterns with battery available in the rooms. However, a separate headlamp or flashlight is additionally advantageous, e.g. in the evening for the bathroom (washbasin and toilet). The food is great and the food is always freshly prepared by a cook. During the excursions, food is grilled or fried in the pan over an open fire. The excursions were very well organized and optimally timed, there was enough time in between to relax by the fire or by the lake. There is also a sauna. You can feel the canoeing after the three days in your arms, but the experiences are absolutely worth it. It's a great experience, quiet and surrounded by nature, perfect for switching off. You don't have cell phone reception, but you don't miss it in this environment at all. Bedding is provided. You have to bring your own towels. We can only recommend it. Thanks again to the whole team! You guys were great.

  Thank you, Peter and Kate, that you care for us - constantly. Both of you never tired of entertaining the group. This was such an amazing trip for my wife an me - we will NEVER EVER FORGET!!! We enjoyed every second at this trip - even though there had been so many mosquitos. Also a big thank you for Blake, for the sunset canoeing and the great breafast in wilderness. And last but not least: thank you Nicolene, for the first-class cooking! This was NOT our last trip with Voyageur Quest!!!!
