This was an incredible tour that we would highly recommend. We weren't sure about the extra cost of a private tour but it was worth it as we got to go in before it was crowded, it was tailored to our needs (spending more time in areas that were more special to us - though all of it was special and a once in a lifetime visit). Matias, our tour guide was the BEST! He was passionate about Alhambra since he grew up in the area and even played there as a child before it became famous. He was knowledgeable, friendly, highly educated and shared so much history with us. Even taught us some special techniques for taking photos.

Our guide Jennifer had a masters in archeology and was very knowledgeable - not a question went unanswered in great detail. She was very personable and gave a fascinating account of the many phases of the Alhambra’s genesis and evolution. Highly recommend!!

Awesome Tour - our guide Dara was amazing - so knowledgeable, very entertaining, and super friendly. She is a professor at the University and has a hands on history background and was really insightful. The palace was pretty crowded- but Dara knew all the tricks to avoid large groups of people where possible. Thoroughly enjoyed our time and wished she could have spent the day with us !

We did a private tour of 2, May 8th. Our assigned guide was Eduardo. Ask for him if you can!! Eduardo made the experience and my dream of going to the Alhambra absolutely exceed our expectations. The meeting outside process was easy and flawless, getting in was easy as well, no lines. We walked at our own pace, asked A LOT of questions, and wandered around as much as we wanted. The entire compound is breathtaking, but I don't think our experience would have been as rich and interesting without Eduardo guiding us.
