The Alhambra
This is a complete visit to the Alhambra (tickets included): for about 2.5-3 hours we will show you what is considered by many as the most impressive monument in Spain. We will start by visiting the Generalife, an area of beautiful gardens and orchards where the Sultan had a palace that was used for personal enjoyment. After the Generalife, we will go to see the Palace of Charles V, a Christian palace in the heart of the Alhambra that will not leave you indifferent. In the Alcazaba, the defensive-military zone, we will be lucky enough to enjoy what are probably the best views of the city, and finally, we will visit the Nasrid palaces, the center of political and bureaucratic administration of the kingdom of Granada.

Alain was a great tour guide—shared so much about the Alhambra and its centuries of history; gave us plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful gardens and vistas as well as the amazing buildings and architecture; and welcomed and answered our many questions about Granada and the Alhambra. 5.00One of the best tours we have ever experienced! And… we have reserved lots of Viators. Our guide, Marco, was experienced, knowledgeable, and patient. Our previous trips to the Alhambra were without a guide and I feel that we really missed some of the most interesting details. Since we booked a private tour for just 4, there was plenty of time for conversation and questions. We highly recommend this tour with Marco!

5.00We had a wonderful experience at the Alhambra and Generalife, thanks to our excellent tour guide Matias! He is very knowledgeable and gave us lots of historical, social and governing leadership information that brought everything to life for us. He is from Granada and you can tell his love for the area, and what the Alhambra represents in terms of history and cultural importance. He took the time to point out details of the different decorations, sans script, the Arabic engravings, the mathematics behind the geometrical tiles and so much more. He was able to elaborate with the use of his iPad, which he used to show pictures and videos to illustrate the different techniques used to decorate the Alhambra and also the amazing restoration process. He also provided great information on the flora and fauna and we especially enjoyed all the details provided. We were grateful that Matias was able to cover so much in the short time we had here, again because of his knowledge and the fact he is local to Granada. We definitely plan to come back and spend more time in this amazing place and city. We highly recommend a private tour with Matias! Gracias Matias!!
