  We decided to re visit the school having last visited in 2014. We were keen to see how things may have changed in light of the advances in communication systems. Needless to say things were on the button. Wendy our tour guide was superb and a credit to the organisation for the enthusiastic way she informed us. Well worth a visit.

  This short tour was very interesting. It shows the creativity and ingenuity educators have used and continue to use to educate the children who are isolated un the Outback.

  We had a very informative tour of the centre. We learned about the centre's history and how important it is for so many families to educate their children. The staff were lovely. It is well worth a visit.

• A very different way of learning.

  The staff were so helpful from the beginning. I had ended up with two different visits in Alice Springs too close together and Paddy moved our visit back an hour so we could do both easily. Then we turned up early! This didn't phase them and we joined another group and caught up with the film at the end. I loved seeing the children's work on the wall, including a lovely patchwork quilt. Paddy's talk was informative and funny. The film explained the history of the school of the air and how it operates. I was able to buy a book for the school library and write on a sticker which will go in the back. As a teacher for 43 years, it was good to be able to do that for another generation of learners. Such a lovely visit.

  We were the only ones on the tour so it was an excellent experience. From hearing about the School of Air as a child I have wanted to visit. I was so pleased to actually see how it works.

  Such an interesting tour, everyone who visits Alice Springs needs to go. Learned so much about its history, including how communication and resourcing has changed so much over time. And learned how important this service is to kids and their families. And how much fun they can have during their lessons and on their visits to the school throughout the year.
