This 2-day private trek tour will take you to see the gorgeous Sunset and Sunrise on both sections of the Great Wall if the weather is nice. You will also hike on Jinshanling section on the second day, and it is a exemplary section of the Great Wall and hence comes the saying that the Jinshanling section is the most essential and classic part of the Great Wall. Meals, entrance fees, over night accommodation, private guide and transfer service are all inclusive.
Note: We will stay in the farmer's house.

The Great Wall of Gubeikou
Meet your professional trek guide between 7:00 am to 8:00am at your hotel lobby. Then, you will be transferred to the Gubeikou Great Wall directly (2.5 hours driving time). Once upon arrival, you will walk through a small village and farmland before ascending the Gubeikou Great Wall. After 3 to 4 hours hiking, you will reach the 24-hole Guard Tower, where is the highest place of this section. In additional, you will find the vicissitude of history along the way, such as the bullet holes and damages on the Towers will take you back to the 1930s. Your tour guide will share with about some part of history prior to the second Sino-Japanese War.You will stay here couple minutes and enjoy the amazing view.You will go down the valley to the farmer's house ,where you have lunch. After lunch, continue walk towards West 5-Hole Guard Tower (Xi Wuyanlou) where you will wait and see the beautiful Sunset. After Sun goes down, continue your walk to Zhuanduokou, and you will get out of Wall from here. Then, check in at your accommodation (about 10 minutes away from the Great Wall by foot), and have a nice Chinese dinner meal.

Jinshanling Great Wall
Follow your guide to visit this section after breakfast at the Jinshanling Great Wall, a complicated and well preserved fortification systems and possesses the largest number of watchtowers. These watchtowers (5-8 meters height) were made by huge bricks, and each one built in a different architectural style. You will see one by one everyone 50 to 100 meters. Some of them are half-timbered, some are stone, some with one eave, some with two-eave. The roofs of the towers are many and varied, flat, arched, quadrangular or octagonal. There is a powerful military defense system in Jinshanling Great Wall including barrier walls, crib walls, blockhouses, emplacements,watch-towers, stone-shooting windows, arrow-shooting holes, cavalry defense walls and so on, which making it easier to defend. When you stand on the Jinshanling Great Wall, you will appreciate how majestic and splendid it is. Then, you will hike towards the Simatai Great Wall direction for another 3 hours, and you will see the East 5-hole Guard Tower. If you want to hike further, you can carry on for 800 meters more and come back. Then you will start to go down from the Wall, and you will have a nice lunch meal before you heading back to Beijing. The estimate time for arriving your Beijing hotel is between 4:00pm to 5:00pm.

5.00I signed up for a group tour, but everyone canceled. James still offered to do the tour and I decided to go. It turned out my best camping trip (and I love camping/hiking). James is a true pro, very knowledgeable, well equipped and a pleasant company. It was a safe, peaceful and very enjoyable trip.

5.00My wife and I went with Peter on a two day hike and had a phenomenal time!! Peter was amazing and very kind and knowledgeable. The first day was great and we saw barely any other people. The second day we hiked a bit of a nicer part of the wall but there were more tourists that day. Both days were great though and the food and place where we stayed were so good!! Highly recommend this trip and ask for Peter if you can 👍🏽😁

5.00James our guide was a wealth a information, encouraging, supportive and just all round awesome. He tailored the trek to our pace and made it the most incredible experience along the Great Wall. Our driver, farmhouse hosts, restaurant and accommodation owners were also fantastic and filled us to the brim with delicious food, drinks, provided clean rooms, comfortable bedding and car transport. Highly recommend Great Wall Trekclub if you want to really see the wall away from crowds and learn about its history.

5.00James our guide, our driver and the farm house hosts where great. James our trek guide was very knowledgable and adapted the trek to our abilities. i would highly recommend doing the two day trek, it was one of the highlights from our trip.

5.00The trip to the Great Wall was the highlight of my three-week trip to China. Through the expertise of my guide James, I was able to see wonderful landscapes and abandoned, non-tourist parts of the wall. He speaks a very good English and there were no misunderstanding in relation to language or cultural problems, because he accompanies only foreigners on tours. I can absolutely recommend it! The trip to the Great Wall was the highlight of my three-week trip to China. Through the expertise of my guide James I saw wonderful landscapes and abandoned, non-tourist parts of the wall. He speaks a very good English and there were no comprehension or cultural problems as he only accompanies foreigners on tours. I can absolutely recommend him!

5.00We had the best time on our two day trip. Despite slight delays due to heavy rain and thunder and lightening, the parts of the wall that James our guide took us were outstanding, they were quiet and peaceful, with very few tourists. James was the perfect gentleman at all times as was his driver. The overnight stay in the homestead was a lovely change from a hotel. Every meal we had was delicious and was local. We could not have done this ourselves. What I liked was that James really loved the wall and found it so pretty despite being there so many times. On our return to Beijing he went the extra mile and took us to the train station, collected our pre booked tickets and took us to the waiting room. Not sure if we would have sorted this ourselves. Thank you James. I thoroughly recommend you to anyone and everyone.
