  I've been taking family and friends on the Jungle Queen Riverboat Dinner Cruise for 3O years. The worst experience last night. Food was lousy. Chicken was micro waved Costco frozen food. Ribs were faty and not tasty like in years past. We left hungry and had to stop for dinner on the way home. The show was only a chubby fire baton performance... no comic, magic show, etc. Usually listening to relaxing soft rock hits on journey back to Bahia Mar... instead it was awful Hard Rock OBNOXIOUS music and too loud. We couldn't get back to port fast enough. Always had a great time on the Jungle Queen... NEVER AGAIN... I guess all good things come to an end, unfortunately.

  The boat was great! I took this tour a couple years ago. It was $20.- different for the charges per person. The guide was funny with good senses of humor while we touring along the intercoastal. It was very organized after we sat down in the Island n have our dinner. The ribs n sides tasted good. I missed the original BBQ chicken they had before. Nowadays, they only give out the chicken fingers which is fried food. We were a bit disappointed about that. Otherwise the entertainment also great. The vendors on the shores where the boat docks has changed to a beautiful alleys. It's great idea that they have decorated such a beautiful way for the Christmas holidays!   Boat ride, Good Entertainment, Good Food, Disappointing Price, overpriced and not worth it It’s been a few years since I have been on the Jungle Queen BBQ dinner cruise but it was an annual christmas time tradition for many years with my group of friends. This year we got the gang back together and I am sad to report how disappointed we were. Maybe if you are a tourist going for the first time and don't know how awesome it once was, you would be ok with the experience but for us locals who have been going since we were kids, it was a true disappointment. The food was the biggest disappointment. They use to serve real BBQ chicken and ribs along with sides, drinks, and desert. While they still have ribs, they were not baby back ribs as advertised. They were fatty st louis style ribs. The chicken, is no longer the on the bone juicy BBQ chicken but crappy chicken tenders that were similar to what you would buy in the frozen food section of your grocery store. Baked beans and Coleslaw were good, Mac and Cheese was similar to Stouffer’s frozen food. While it is all you can eat, the portions they gave you were very small. Not enough to accommodate 3 people, let alone the 10 that was in our group. We constantly had to ask the waitress for more and the wait each time was long as they were short staffed. The kicker that really got me was that only water is provided, if you wanted to have a soda, they charged you ($4). And if you wanted to have dessert, that is also an extra charge. Our table was in the back, a separate room from the main dining room. When we finished eating, we got up and started to walk towards the show area. As we entered the main dining room, it was completely empty. The show was already in progress. Our waitress never gave any warning that the show would be starting soon. When we left our table, the whole room we were in was full of other families that were still eating so who knows how much of the show they missed. The show use to have a comedian and magician in addition to the Hawaiian dancers and fire show. Now, its just the Hawaiian dancers and fire show. That said, the show was well done and the dancers and MC did a great job. One upgrade was the improvements made to the “island”. Pavers throughout, a nice bar and seated area. Landscaping was nice. But no money was put into the bathrooms (which could use a facelift). Perhaps that is a project still in the works. Lastly the boat ride was nice. The captain did great navigating some tight spaces along the way and the MC was fun, knowledgeable and entertaining. Its a shame that this year will be the last year of our annual JQ Christmas dinner. Just wasn't worth the money and there are plenty of other options to take a boat ride on the intercoastal to see Christmas lights and have a nice dinner at one of the many restaurants on the water.

  Food is good not great. Chicken tenders and ribs, coleslaw, beans, biscuit, mac and cheese. Based on the photo we expected much more.

  This was a wonderful experience. Definitely a must do. The cruise was very entertaining and the food was tasty.

  Well let me first start off by saying that everything except the food was excellent., and that is why could not give a perfect rating. The island ambience, boat ride and narration, hula dancers/fire show, live band, servers, and bird exhibit were fantastic. Unfortunately, the food was not as advertised in the vendor’s photos. There were chicken tenders and BBQ pork ribs with four sides provided (macaroni and cheese, cole slaw, bake beans cooked in pork, and Hawaiian rolls. The photo displays BBQ chicken pieces not overcooked chicken fingers with a side of sauce. There needs to be beef options as everyone does not eat pork.

  The tour of the homes and yachts was great and the MC was great and amusing (Nate). The island was OK. The food was good. The show was great.

  Everything was great. The boat ride was wonderful and the narrator was great! On Jungle Queen island, the meal and Aloha show were great! Food was hot, plentiful and very good. Be advised, you should tip the server directly, dont leave tip on the table.
