The Alpaca Walking Adventure offers a unique opportunity to connect with these charming creatures in the stunning Carmel Valley. Begin your journey with a mini-lecture about alpacas, discovering their origins, biology, and how their fleece is utilized. After meeting your alpaca buddy, embark on a one-mile scenic hike through a tree-lined trail, stopping to interact with the alpacas and enjoy breathtaking views of the neighboring 2,000-acre ranch. Pause to interact with your alpaca, learn some fun tricks, snap plenty of selfies, while enjoying provided snacks and water. We then continue on to complete the trek in the pastures with alpacas, goats, and horses, ensuring a memorable day filled with knowledge and delightful moments.

Start your one of a kind adventure in the beautiful barn with a "mini-lecture" about these unique animals-where they are from, what they are used for and some unusual biology facts. Included are demonstrations of their fleece and products. Then pair with a furry friend. Learn how to walk a halter trained alpaca. Start your hike through a tree lined trail and venture on to scenic vistas. Stop midway through the trek to interact directly with these charming creatures. Pet them, feed them treats and maybe learn a trick or two. Water and snacks are also provided for humans! Continue on the path with your new friend, enjoying their company and the amazing views, We will then release the alpacas in the pastures where you will see other alpacas and farm animals. Take home new knowledge of these unique animals as well as happy memories and lots of photos!

5.00Booked this experience and had a great time! Bonnie and Mike were great guides and gave us a thorough lesson on alpaca history, biology, and husbandry. They were super informative and happy to answer questions. This made the experience of walking with and feeding the alpacas more memorable and fun. We would love to go back and stay with their Airbnb experience. They also had the sweetest dogs who were an absolute delight.

5.00Incredible experience! Gorgeous views, beautiful trail, and you’re walking through all of it with your own super cute alpaca. Bonnie is a great host, clearly in her element, and makes the whole thing feel really relaxed and personal. Small groups help too. Walked away way more charmed than I expected to be. Just do it.

5.00Honestly, this was the highlight of my trip. Bonnie is a fantastic host. The intro talk was super interesting and the hike through the property is gorgeous. You each get your own alpaca to walk, and they have unique personalities. Small group, beautiful views, and incredibly cute alpacas. This is a must do if you’re anywhere near Carmel Valley.

5.00What a wonderful experience! We had a fantastic time learning about Alpacas and trekking with them through nature. The owners are the most wonderful people who make the animal encounter unforgettable. We highly recommend this adventure to anyone that appreciates animals and nature.

5.00Absolutely amazing time spent with Bonnie, the alpacas, and various other farm animals. Bonnie goes into educational details of the alpacas and about some other farm animals, which was about 45 minutes. We got to hang out with the two sweetest dogs while Bonnie expressed her passion about her and her husband’s farm. Then we headed out on our little hike. Each of us had an alpaca of our own to walk with, and Bonnie explained to us how to handle the alpacas correctly. We got rained out right during our break and the alpaca feeding time. Bonnie provided us with water and snacks. We didn’t stay long at the break since it was raining. Our small group didn’t mind the rain at all, neither did the alpacas. We still got to pet and feed the alpacas in the rain. We got to say hi to a few other animal friends when we finished the hike. It was the lovely time, would definitely do it again. It was worth every penny to me. I would definitely do this again!

5.00This was fantastic! Bonnie and her husband are super knowledgeable about alpacas and llamas, and all of the alpacas were very friendly (and soft!). We got to go for a nice hike with our alpacas then stopped at the top for a snack (both for the humans and alpacas) and for a photo op. We also got to meet the rest of the animals on the property, including the llamas! If you go on this, would recommend wearing sneakers or hiking boots and pants since you do walk through some wooded areas with your alpaca.

5.00Such a wonderful and unique experience! The Alpaca Walking Adventure at D’jango Hill Farm in scenic Carmel Valley was truly memorable. Bonnie started us off with a really informative and engaging intro about alpacas which made the experience even more meaningful. The groups are small and intimate, and each person gets paired with their own alpaca to walk alongside, which made it feel really personal and special. The property itself is absolutely beautiful and they give you time to stop, feed the alpacas, interact with them, and take photos. Bonnie and Mike are incredibly kind, and you can clearly see how much they care about their animals. I would definitely recommend this to any animal lover or anyone looking for a fun and unique experience!

5.00My teenage kids and I thoroughly enjoyed the up close and personal experience with our new alpaca friends Fiona, Carmella and Jasmine. They each have their own sweet and unique personalities that made our hike through scenic Django Hill Farm pleasant and fun. Our host Bonnie was gracious and attentive throughout. Her love and knowledge of alpacas is the heart of the farm. We even got a couple of surprises at the end! I highly recommend this tour.

5.00The hosts were so good with our kids. They were patient and answered ALL of their questions. Our 7 year old was nervous around the Alpacas and they helped her to be able to be a part of everything. We loved our experience and recommend it to other families as well.
