Please Note: Water levels fluctuate naturally. The lake is highest in late spring (May-June) due to snowmelt, creating an "underwater park." In late summer and autumn, it recedes to a smaller, crystal-clear turquoise jewel. Regardless of the season, the pristine alpine silence offers the perfect setting to clear your mind. To enrich your experience, we can arrange a culinary stop tailored to the season. Very knowledgeable guide, friendly and wonderful to spend time with. Picked us up at our hotel and drove us up to the Alps. Flexible regarding difficulty of hike/walk. Absolutely beautiful locations. We loved it! One of the highlights of our trip.

Fantastic tour with Jane and Vladimir! This place is almost a 90 minute drive from Vienna, to the foothills of the Styrian Alps and the Green Lake (Gruner See) is better than the pictures. The different hues of green make you appreciate nature even more. Jane was the one who accompanied us on the short easy trek and on the way there in the car she gave us a bunch of information on the different geographical regions of Austria and how they are culturally different. Jane and Vladimir are lovely people who manage to keep you entertained and interested throughout. This tour was definitely the highlight of our trip! Would definitely repeat.
