  We booked the Santa sleepover for our two children and were extremely disappointed! CBeebies land had no Christmas spirit and was in our opinion badly set up. Mistletoe lane was lined with beautiful trees , none of which had a single bauble and were wrapped in thick ugly lights that weren’t even turned on. The lack of effort was disappointing . The elves tried to lift spirits but failed as the timings were off. Kids were banging on the red door to enter Santa’s domain before the kids in front had been seen . The queue to see Santa was on the same path as the queue coming out which caused chaos. Kids waiting to go in saw the teddy they were getting before even seeing Santa - there was no surprise! Santa himself was pretty good but the experience had already been ruined. We also wouldn’t recommend eating in the restaurant which is massively overpriced and understaffed. £9 for not even 1/4 of a tin of Heinz soup. 70 quid for a pizza, jacket with beans, sip of soup , chips, and nachos with 3 drinks. Staff were trying really hard but there just wasn’t enough of them . Food was cold and the wait was over an hour , which you weren’t told when you ordered and paid. There were lots of people complaining and/or returning food. The hotel and pantomime were awesome and I have left separate feedback for this. The two experiences were worlds apart, however, we went for the magic of Santa for our babies and sadly there was none.

  Truly magical! We did the Santa Sleepover with the waterpark access with our little one. Panto was amazing, just the right amount of time for children - not too long! It is worth every penny! Yes it is expensive but it’s about the memories. In the park there is an aquarium too, I definitely recommend going to visit if you have little ones!

  Always visit Alton towers since the 80s.The atmosphere,landscape.Nemesis is still one of the best in the world.Freindly staff.

  it was super fun! We stayed the full day! The atmostphere was welcoming and everyone seemed happy! The crowds were large, but that's expected of somewhere like that. The staff seemed happy and were helpful when we got lost too haha! It was average price for a resort like that so i'm happy with that too! I think it's best for teens and adults!

  Considering it was the holidays the queues were not that long. They were an average of 90 minutes with smiler being a bit longer although towards the end of the day the queues got shorter and thi3teen was only a 20 minutes queue. The food was expensive but it’s a themepark so I want really expecting otherwise. I recommend downloading some group games on your phone. We played charades in the queues and then everyone else started playing it too. We also play never have I have, who’s most likely too and filmed videos for friends. These kept us busy and made the queues feel like they were going much faster. We went during Scarefest so we’re there from 10:45am-9:00pm and it was tiring but worth it. We didn’t manage to get on everything but we went on all our top ones and the only one we didn’t go on that we wanted to was nemesis. The staff were really nice and interacted with you a lot. The staff in the scare mazes were absolutely incredible aswell and made it an amzing experience. Overall it was a great day.

  I've been visiting Alton Towers since I was a child and I always have the best day. I have other theme parks much closer to home, but I will always choose to travel that bit further for AT. It's my happy place and I'll never get bored of visiting.

  We visit every Autumn for the Scarefest experience. It has become a firm family favourite for over ten years. Whilst we always have a good day we have noticed over the years how much the cost of parking and indeed things like bottled water have become very expensive, but you have little choice to pay for these things as you are as they say, 'a captive audience'. This year seemed especially busy with I guess, increased ticket availability. By 4 p.m. most of the refreshment huts had run out of coffee, bottled water, etc. and the staff did tell me they had experienced the same issues in the past few days. Considering the park is opened later during this month, perhaps stock control should be reviewed. Also, there still seems to be issues with the sky ride, after four years of not working. The gates for this attraction, closest to the main entrance seemed to be locked all day on the day of our visit. The parks and gardens were beautiful with all of the autumnal colours very vividly on display, and are always a pleasure to have a wander around. Some additional seating in this area would be a welcome addition too. Overall this remains a great day out for all ages of the family, but I would love some thought given to older members of the family, that may not want a 'white knuckle ride' expereience but appreciate the whole attraction for it's natural beauty and splendour.

  I attended Friday and Saturday for the fireworks. Both days were amazing, food was great as always, staff were efficient, would have been nice for them to interact with guests a little more. Tried to ride wickerman at the end of the night on Friday but it broke down and closed operations just as we were next to board, cannot complain as the breakdowns are fixed as quickly as they can so I have a lot of respect for the engineers! Thoroughly enjoyed my weekend, and look forward to 2026 fireworks!

  The park is huge and very good. It's so big that buying the fast-track pass was worthwhile because the lines are immense. The rides are mostly fantastic roller coasters. Beautiful gardens. Bring good shoes because you'll be walking a lot. The fireworks display was one of the best I've ever seen.
