  Very disappointed such a big park and you choose to close at 4pm not enough time especially for those waiting in queues for big rides its mad spent the day feeling rushed as wanted to see so much as it was my first visit I went to watermark got to see sea life eat some over priced food got lost lots as not enough signs and wanted to go on water rapids to see it was a 40 min wait ut was 3.15 now we hadn't evwn played golf so wasted money there as such a shame and not really a enjoyable day out wouldn't recommend it i would like a refund .   We visited for the day to celebrate a birthday. We had a great day, ride que times were really low and staff were very efficient by making sure they stayed low by being so organised. A lot of walking due to the sky ride being closed that maybe could have made the experience a bit better as would have got on more rides but overall a really good day!

  We’ve been going to Alton towers for years and years with the children and with friends. We’ve moaned and we’ve praised - this time it’s praise. Visited on a Friday. Three adults. Arriving just before 10am for a 10-4 day. The monorail was working smoothly. Security was working smoothly and straight into the park and onto Smiler a walk on and then onto Rita - walk on and then 13 near enough a walk on. I don’t think any of these rides were down at all all day. We the. Went over the Nemesis and Galactica. 20 and 30 mins respectively. Had lunch in the court yard visited the shop and off to Oblivion and back to Nemesis on the way out. Ride availability was excellent. Sky ride is still down but that was ok I don’t mind walking. We took packed lunches and so didn’t buy any food. The food and the choice is not good and that needs some attention. Loved the new video screens in oblivion. Probably my favourite theming as I find it so nostalgic but also I love all things space themed. The last few years have been a bit bit a miss with availability and it just felt like stuff was not being cared for. But I love that some of the original functionality is coming back. I also liked the ride to the park on the monorail without the vinyls it’s great to see the rides as you pass by. Universal are upping the game. ATR will never be able to better universal they have the cash and the site that gives them design freedom. BUT ATR know this. There is a whole core of fans out there who have grown up with the park and there is much love and affection for these rides. As time passes they may not be the biggest and fastest but the history of association and the natural beauty of the setting carries a lot of weight. The rides are all very different and offer a real variety and if you can keep them running smoothly and add an occasional SW and also maybe a few flat rides then when it comes to Bedford or Alton that will be a genuine choice for me and there is room for both! For the first time in a long time I feel quite positive about ATR. Great day. Great job. Cheers.

  where do I begin.. we booked last week for a stay for my little boys birthday.. he's turning 5. Myself, husband and son..The staff where so helpful when I booked everything. We went for a 1 night stay. Stayed in the splash landing hotel and went in the splash park on the Tuesday, stayed over then cbeebies land Wednesday. After an hour or so my little boy got really tired ( he has a muscle condition anyway and I didn't expect him to last) I went to reception desk to see if I could pay for an early check-in and the lady was really helpful. Then she booked a table in the secret garden for us that night. The food was honestly amazing. The young lad serving us was so helpful I didn't take his name which was a shame. Young and blonde. Not really themed for kids I'd say but they are brilliant with them. My son wanted plain pasta ,🙈 and it wasn't a problem at all. The waiter could see my son was getting tired and he got that food out to us really quickly and I appreciated it so much. I highly recommend going. Next day reception staff where friendly. Slight hiccup getting into the park with the tickets but it was sorted quicky. Cbeebies is obviously aimed at younger kids and it was great. unfortunately I got sick and we had to leave early I'm writing this review from stoke royal hospital.Id be clutching at straws to find anything bad .We didn't get the accessible room I asked for and the mono rail wasn't working on the way out, which normally wouldn't be an issue but I was almost screaming in pain so the walk back to the hotel was agony but it can't be helped if they needed to fix something

  Booked a short break with 2 day admission to theme park, stayed at the Alton Towers Hotel and went to the Waterpark the following day. My 3 year old daughter loved it. Staff were very friendly in the hotel and food in the garden restaurant was very good. She also really enjoyed the Waterpark. Very pleased and will do it again.

  We visited on Sunday 31st May and the extended opening hours until 8pm was greatly appreciated. It made the whole day feel more relaxed and fun as it allowed us to enjoy the gardens, go shopping, have something to eat and drink, and get on all of the rides we wanted to, including multiple re-rides on our favourites. With Alton Towers being such a large park, it can take a long time to walk between areas. Therefore, having the longer opening hours greatly helped with this matter too. We thought that Fountain Square was decorated beautifully and the area had a great atmosphere to it. We also want to give a shoutout to all of the ride staff as they were working incredibly hard and as fast as they could. Thank you for the late opening, Alton Towers!
