Too many people, rides closed and massive queues. Save your money and go elsewhere. Looking very tired. Not what it use to be sadly.

Dirty and disgusting public areas, especially the food areas and toilets. Food and rubbish everywhere. No staff, at all cleaning up. Catering staff serving depressed and demotivated. Plenty of dancers however around, your priorities are wrong. So disappointed. I was ashamed to be British with all the tourists around.

Queue times were all less than an hour. Staff were cheerful and helpful. The park was clean and litter free. Drink/food prices were quite reasonable. Although I think the food could be slightly cheaper as it is takeaway food.

Queues to get on rides was very good, and had multiple re-rides which was also a great experience. Did not experience any ride down time either, and staff was very friendly.

We had a fantastic day at Alton Towers for the October Scarefest — the atmosphere was brilliant! The park staying open until 10pm and doing the rides in the dark added so much extra thrill and excitement. We managed to get on some amazing rides — The Smiler, Rita, Nemesis Reborn, The Spinball Whizzer, TH13TEEN, and HEX. Each one offered something different: The Smiler was an absolute thrill from start to finish, Rita’s launch took our breath away, and Nemesis Reborn completely lived up to the hype! TH13TEEN was a great mix of fun and surprise, while HEX was brilliantly themed and a nice break between the bigger rides. We also paid £26 for the digital photos and four printed ones, and they were fab – really good quality and such a lovely souvenir from the day! The only downsides were the very long waiting times (some over an hour) and a funny little hiccup trying to find Nemesis. The app took us through a closed area, and we ended up getting a bit lost — then got a telling off from an angry wee lady! All part of the adventure, though, and we got there in the end. Despite the queues, the Scarefest atmosphere, friendly staff, and fantastic rides made it a really memorable day out. With slightly shorter waits, it would’ve easily been a 5-star visit!

My family and I went for a day out, two adults and two children. We enjoyed the day and managed to get on 6 rides with quite a lot of queuing which was expected. I think the park staff were excellent. Far two many people pretending to have autism or ADHD though so they can skip the queuing for rides. ( before anyone starts I actually do have ADHD but it definitely doesn’t stop you from queuing up. ) There was so many people doing it, the sunflower lanyard brigade were out in force, people really have no shame. That’s not the parks fault for being accommodating though.

I've not been in over 10 years, but fell in love with the rides again. At my age, acting like a big kid again. Brought back so many happy times bring my kids so many times when they live at home and at uni

First time going in over a decade, it was a good day but not the best. Queues were so long for each ride and not much shelter around for when it did rain! Food very expensive to purchase and not much selection. Vending food/drink machines around mostly all empty and the ones that did work were bit dodgy, paid £1.80 for crisps whilst waiting for ride nothing came out yet it took my money though. Will I go back…I doubt it.

Was almost a good visit, apart from once again Rita.... last time we visited the same problem Rita 2.5 hrs wait. This visit we had to queue for just under 3hrs. For the quickest ride in the park the turn round is very poor. The food is well over priced £25 for 2 hotdogs and portion of chips, £10 for 3 hot drinks..SHOCKING. Had to pay it due to being hungry. Plus side the night riding was a fantastic experience.

Have been to Alton towers lots over the years, my now 14yr old was tall enough to go on all rides, last time we visisted she was 6. I was going to buy fasttracks for her and my neice but too expensive on top of main tickets and they wanted to do the scarefest trio whichI paid on the day £76ish. Felt a bit of a rip off I thought there would be more interactive elements re halloween around the park, would be good to have actors or staff dressed up going round park rather than only inside the majority of rides etc put on especially for halloween. We went to Portaventura in Spain about 7 yrs ago and had a great halloween experience for all ages Alton Towers you might want to take some tips from elsewhere. Wont go especially for scarefest again. Overall I spent about £220 for the one day for 3 of us and I did not even go on a ride, should be a ticket for none ride people!
