We head to Ceasa Port, where we board a speedboat, making our first stop along the Rio Negro river at the meeting of the waters. Here, the black Rio Negro and the brown Solimões never mix, creating an otherworldly sensation at this spot. Next, we visit the floating village of Catalão. Here, you can explore a fish farm and observe the Giant Arapaima Gigas, one of the Amazon's most powerful creatures. Afterwards, we continue to the Careiro village. From there, we ride for about an hour, then head to Maçarico Lake by speedboat. You'll arrive at the Amazon Peacock Paradise Ecolodge at around 11:30 a.m., and a delicious lunch will be served at noon. My experience in the Amazon with guide Elde and his family and friends was truly unforgettable — a dream come true. From the moment we arrived, Elde’s deep knowledge of the jungle, combined with his warm hospitality, made us feel completely at home. Exploring the lush rainforest with him was like stepping into a vibrant living world; he pointed out rare plants and incredible wildlife. What made this journey even more special was the genuine kindness and generosity of Elde’s family and friends. Their smiles, traditional cooking, and welcoming spirit created an authentic connection to the culture and environment that no guidebook could offer. Every day felt like a beautiful adventure filled with learning, laughter, and awe. Thanks to Elde and his wonderful community, my dream Amazon trip turned into a vivid, life-changing experience I will cherish forever. If you want to see the Amazon through the eyes of locals who truly love and protect their land, this is the journey to take.

The eco lodge is located in the juma lake reserve a fantastic place, thanks to the Ken Guide who was able to involve us in the biodiversity of the Amazon rainforest and to the young Gustavo, who with his deep knowledge of the territory led us to incredible places along the canals of the river to meet pristine environments and great suggestion. All the experiences proposed were of an excellent level. No activity was carried out in a "tourist" way but always with the intent to make known the customs and identity of these places and the people who live there. The experience of the day with overnight stay in the jungle was superb. We always felt safe at all times. A recommended package as well as the other activities of Joshua' Amazon Expedition that follow the same philosophy of disclosure of this world heritage reality to be protected all together. Unfortunately we did not make the second package booked for a family problem that forced us to return and even at this juncture Joshua has shown great sensitivity and collaboration. We will be back soon to finish a great adventure left half done.
