Golden Temple

Jallianwala Bagh
Jallianwala Bagh is a historic public garden located in Amritsar, Punjab, India. It is infamous for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre that occurred on April 13, 1919, during the British colonial rule in India. On that day, British troops under the command of Colonel Reginald Dyer opened fire on a crowd of unarmed Indian civilians who had gathered in the garden for a peaceful protest against British policies. The massacre resulted in the deaths of hundreds of people and left many more injured. The incident had a profound impact on the Indian independence movement, fueling further resistance against British rule. Today, Jallianwala Bagh serves as a memorial to the victims of the massacre, reminding visitors of the struggles and sacrifices made during India's fight for freedom.

5.00We had a wonderful driver from this company Amarbir Singh. He was so kind and taking care of us for a week during our trip from Amritsar to Dharmsala to Shimla and then to Chandigarh. The car was clean and always stocked with water bottles. He was so polite and tried to engage in conversation and ask about us and our lives. Overall. I’m very pleased with his service.

Gurcharan was on time picking us up and the communication was great. The car is clean and tidy. Despite the crazy traffic in the city, Gurcharan’s driving is safe and stable, we felt very safe throughout the tour. Thank you Gurcharan. Our guide Rishin is very professional, he explains the history and culture very thoroughly and interestingly all the time. He knows where to go, what to eat. Special shout-out to him that he is so very kind to pay for us to the vendor that only take cash when we don’t have cash with us. He’s knowledgeable and make sure that we are safe at the same time enjoy our time touring Amritsar. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience with your company, the driver and the tour guide. 5.00Amar Bir Singh is the one. He is extremely knowledgeable and sweet and kind. We will always remember our day and night time tour to the Harrimandir Sahib aka Golden Temple. He got us into the temple during the night when they put Guru Baba to sleep. It was crowded and yet we got in because of him. He also took us to the Wagha border. His recommendations for restaurants were on point.

5.00We had a fantastic time seeing the sights of Amritsar! First, we went to see the Jallianwala Bagh and heard the history of the place. From there, we saw the magnificent sight of The Golden Temple and toured around the surrounding holy buildings and heard the history of the area. Finally, we visited the Wagha Border and saw the procession of the Indian Border Force Patrol. This experience was quite something else and a must in my opinion. Our Guide Saurav was excellent, both knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend him if you book this trip as he knows Amritsar very well and can explain the history of the area. He is also a very friendly guide. Our driver Love was very good too, a careful driver, unlike many drivers we have experienced whilst in India. I would highly recommend this trip and our Guide.
