Amsterdam Canal Ring
Amsterdam, capital of the Netherlands, has more than one hundred kilometers of grachten (canals), about 90 islands and 1,500 bridges. The three main canals (Herengracht, Prinsengracht and Keizersgracht), dug in the 17th century during the Dutch Golden Age, form concentric belts around the city, known as the Grachtengordel. Alongside the main canals are 1550 monumental buildings.[1] The 17th-century canal ring area, including the Prinsengracht, Keizersgracht, Herengracht and Jordaan, were listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2010,[2] contributing to Amsterdam's fame as the "Venice of the North"

5.00Great fun! We had a knowledgeable and fabulous guide and spent a wonderful 90 minutes on the canals of Amsterdam learning the history, whilst having drinks and snacks, what could be better. Also don't worry about the weather, there were blankets, umbrellas and ponchos! Highly recommend

5.00Lon was entertaining and informative. Great fun despite the rain. Scenery was amazing and Lon took us on a detour to see the Ted Lasso Rebecca houseboat and The Fault in Our Stars bench. Would love to do again on a warm sunny evening.

5.00Absolutely loved the Amsterdam canal boat tour. Seeing the city from the water gives you a completely different perspective — the historic buildings, bridges, and houseboats are unreal. The guide was informative without overdoing it, and the atmosphere was super relaxing. Perfect way to take in the city, especially around sunset. Easily one of the highlights of the trip.
