But not just any boat ride, you will be introduced with typical Dutch bites and bits, drinks, our stories, rich history and humor. We will let you know about the rich history of Amsterdam and so much more... You'll not only be meeting me but also guests from all over the world, more than 100 nationalities have joined our tour last year! My friends and I are your host for the whole tour, we will entertain you with amazing facts, funny and exciting stories.

Due a lot of traffic at the dock, I can't wait more than 5 minutes. Please make sure you are at the dock 10 minutes before departure.
The tour is a historical canal cruise, it is not a booze cruise. So if you are looking for a bachelor party boat or any other booze cruise, this is not the cruise for you.
Captain Jack is collaboration between friends. Captain Jack is not himself on the boat.
Due Health regulations (regarding food) animals are not allowed (service animals excluded).
A fairly big step needs to be taken to get in the boat. Of course we will assist you.
Beware all my boats are open. So when it rains, you can get wet. But rebooking with rain is always possible
I always try to give the best tour possible (5*). But in rare occasion things don't go as you and me would like. Please let me know asap. Either direct or send me an email of text. I will contact you.

We dock right in front of the Rijksmuseum (Rijksmuseum departure) Take a moment to enjoy this amazing museum. Beautiful as a building and amazing expositions. And of course the master piece of the world famous Rembrandt called the Nachtwacht (Night watch).
Amsterdam Canal Ring
Amsterdam, capital of the Netherlands, has more than one hundred kilometers of grachten (canals), about 90 islands and 1,500 bridges. The three main canals (Herengracht, Prinsengracht and Keizersgracht), dug in the 17th century during the Dutch Golden Age, form concentric belts around the city, known as the Grachtengordel. Alongside the main canals are 1550 monumental buildings.[1] The 17th-century canal ring area, including the Prinsengracht, Keizersgracht, Herengracht and Jordaan, were listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2010,[2] contributing to Amsterdam's fame as the "Venice of the North"

1.00Time was changed then it was canceled because of rain because they don't use covered boats after April 1st. My ticket specifically said a covered boat. Inconsistent information

5.00We took the Captain Jack canal tour upon arrival in Amsterdam. The boat was well stocked with wines, beers, soft drinks, waters, cheese, candies, and crackers. It was a chilly late afternoon tour but the boat was equipped with blankets for each guest. After a brief safety and boat operation lecture, but started our tour down the many canals. Our guide was excellent, pointing out many old buildings and their history, while explaining how the canal system developed throughout the growth of Amsterdam. Overall a very nice tour and I would highly recommend for anyone visiting the city.

5.00I highly recommend the Captain Jack Amsterdam Canal Cruise for a fun and informative way to experience the city. Our guide, Lon, was incredibly entertaining and did a fantastic job explaining the history of Amsterdam in an engaging and easy-to-follow way. The cruise gave us a great overall sense of the city while still being relaxing and enjoyable. The drinks and snacks were plentiful, which made the experience even better. It was the perfect mix of sightseeing, learning, and having a good time on the water. We did the nighttime cruise which made the city twinkle with all the bridges lit up, but I’m sure the daytime cruise would be just as wonderful. Definitely a highlight of our trip!

5.00Captain Dan was just exceptional!! Informative and funny!!! We had a great time and he made the ride!! Could not have asked for more!! He had answers to all the questions even though if they weren’t about the canal. Was a real joy to be in his company!!
