5.00If you want to get an understanding of Amsterdam, the city layout and how it came to be, the culture and the history of the pp book this tour with Jerry. Jerry is the only tour guide so you will get him and he is the best- so knowledgeable and humorous. We learned so much in just 3 hours. You walk a lot but it’s at a relaxing pace and you cover lots of ground. Try to book his tour early in your stay as Jerry gives recommendations of things to do and places to eat.

5.00Jerry Goldberg took me, My wife and a couple from USA on a three-hour walk tour. It was more like walking with a friend than with a tourist guide. It was a pleasant morning when we visited many old buildings and hidden churches. He regaled us with stories of miracles, wars and social infrastructure. Jerry doesn’t try hard to be humorous and he shares info in a non-patronising way. He himself is not a local so he understands what a tourist looks for. Although three hours seems a long time, the walk was leisurely and unhurried. So it does not tire you. Jerry told us that he prefers small groups which is what we too wanted. Would definitely recommend Jerry!
