5.00We were in Amsterdam about a week ago and we did this tour on our first day, it was an amazing introduction to the city. Gus both knew his way around and about historical events throughout the city, but genuinely seemed excited to share with us.
Stressful tour, worst bike tour experienced

1.00Unfortunately this bike tour didn't work out for us, a group of 4 experienced cyclists. The bikes were okay, but not the best we've had on tours. Unfortunately Amsterdam on a Saturday afternoon was chaotic. Cars, bikes and pedestrians from all angles. Nothing like I've experienced before in Amsterdam. Us 4 were in the back of the group. Right from the start, our single guide could not keep the tour group together. After arrival at the first stop, she had started her tour description without us. Between the first and second stop, one of our party developed a puncture. We had to cycle for a further 10 minutes before catching up with the tour leader. She told us she didn't have a puncture repair kit (which A bikes have now changed the story about). We really weren't enjoying the experience, so we rode on a further 10 minutes on a flat tyre to another A bike shop. At this stage we abandoned the tour and returned unaccompanied back to the start point. A tours and the guide told us they were licenced for 15 guests. That's not the point, as this takes no account of road conditions. We don't appreciate the lie over the availability of the puncture repair kit. Neither do we appreciate the company apportioning blame, saying we lacked confidence on the bikes. The tour route and of guests to the guide were simply inappropriate for busy Saturday afternoon road conditions. We had to accept the 50% refund, but never again with this company.

5.00Shakira was an amazing guide. She led us through Amsterdam expertly making our tour informative, interesting and most importantly safe. She had a great energy and remembered all of our names instantly! Highly recommend this tour.

5.00Great bike tour! Huw was very knowledgeable and friendly. We appreciated the e-bike upgrade and rain jackets. Huw showed us parts of Amsterdam that I wouldn’t have known to seen and some tips for eating around the city.
