We had a wonderful day. After an early pick up and a two hour car ride, we completed a comfortable 8 km hike in stunning landscape. The hike took several hours, as we stopped often for discussion with our guides about the natural environment and the history of the area, and for breaks. We were provided with a good lunch. After we finished the hike, we had a surprise picnic in the afternoon with a glass of Chilean wine. It was a fabulous trip, and our guides Andres and Elias (and driver Oscar) were professional, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. They made the day a complete success. We would highly recommend this tour for those who want to travel out of Santiago for a day trip to see the Andes mountains.

We had a great experience. José and Laura were our guides and you could really tell how passionate they are about geology, ecology, and the preservation of the Andes. They had several stops throughout the hike where they shared interesting facts about the views and wild life. They adjusted the pace of the hike based on the group's feedback. The hike itself was beginner to moderate. There were a few steep climbs but nothing too difficult. It is mostly exposed so make sure you bring sunblock and long sleeves. We brought extra water and snacks (based on a review) but honestly didn't need it. We were provided with a sandwich, a cereal bar, a banana, and a 1.5 liter water, so bring a backpack. Definitely make sure you take the bathroom break at the start of the hike and bring 500 pesos for it. My brother and I had a wonderful day and definitely recommend this tour!

Our excursion to the San José Volcano in the Cajón del Maipo was an unforgettable experience, made even better by our incredible guide, Andrés, and his supportive assistant, Laura. Their passion for the region was evident, and they were exceptionally knowledgeable about the local flora, fauna, and geology, enriching our hike with fascinating insights throughout the day. The team was highly professional, prioritizing our safety while also being warm and friendly. We hiked just under 11 km, with hiking poles provided, and enjoyed a well-prepared picnic lunch. Andrés carefully assessed the group's energy and skill levels, adjusting the hike accordingly to ensure everyone had a fulfilling experience. Both Andrés and Laura were considerate and encouraging, making the hike enjoyable for walkers of all abilities. After departing from Santiago, we drove through the breathtaking landscapes of the Cajón del Maipo before embarking on our hike, which took us through stunning mountain ranges leading to the impressive San José Volcano. On our way back, we stopped at a scenic viewpoint, where we enjoyed a delightful cheese and wine picnic with a panoramic view of the volcano—a perfect way to end the adventure. This was an outstanding excursion, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a well-organized, enriching, and memorable hiking experience.

This trip involves a full 5-hours on your feet. The terrain isn't all that difficult, but first-time hikers should definitely not go. Otherwise, the management of the day felt kind of sloppy to me -- stops were too long, uncoordinated, and guides were distracted.
