Angkor Wat

The tour begins with a pre-dawn departure between 4:30 to 4:40 am depends on the time of year. Tuk Tuk and the guide pickup from your hotel for sunrise outside Angkor Wat or enter the great temple in darkness from the little-visited western side, and creep along hoary cloistered corridors past the longest stretch of bas-relief carvings in the world (note: this can be done after sunrise). Angkor Wat is a temple complex at Angkor, Cambodia, built for the king Suryavarman II in the early 12th century as his state temple and capital city. As the best-preserved temple at the site, it is the only one to have remained a significant religious centre since its foundation – first Hindu, dedicated to the god Vishnu, then Buddhist. It is the world's largest religious building and the temple is at the top of the high classical style of Khmer architecture.

He fortified the city by building a high wall around it, in turn enclosed by a 100 meter wide moat.

Our tour guide Nak was excellent. He was waiting for us in the lobby on time, spoke great English, explained details of each stop and even helped us book a quick stop at the Apopo Centre on the way back from Angkor Wat.

We had an absolutely incredible sunrise tour of Angkor Wat with our guide, Nak. Watching the sunrise over Angkor Wat was breathtaking, and Nak made the experience even more special with his knowledge, warmth, and thoughtful guidance throughout the day. Nak shared fascinating history and cultural insights that brought each temple to life. He knew the best viewpoints, photo spots, and peaceful corners away from the crowds, and he made sure we never felt rushed. His passion for Cambodian history and pride in his culture truly elevated the entire experience. Nak was patient, friendly, and attentive, and he answered all of our questions with genuine enthusiasm. We felt very well taken care of from start to finish. Visiting these iconic sites is unforgettable on its own, but exploring them with Nak made it absolutely exceptional. We highly recommend him for anyone visiting Siem Reap. Thank you, Nak, for an amazing day we’ll never forget!

I wasn’t looking forward to the early start but what a way to start a day, watching the sunrise over Angkor Wat is an amazing life experience. Our guide Roem was lovely and greeted us with a smile. He was very happy to share his extensive knowledge with us and found us the perfect place to sit to watch the sunrise, he also was a great tour photographer and made the whole experience more enjoyable. Highly recommend this tour.

Excellent tour with guide Sorphea who was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He knew all the best places for photos and gave me a great jnsight into the history of Siem Reap and Cambodia.
A wonderful experience, with a terrific guide Nak. We saw the most amazing temples AND monkeys. Highly recommend.

Our experience was amazing! The temple is breathtaking, we fell in love with every inch of it. Here a special thanks to our guide Sorphea, whi made our tume there much better. He took very good care of us and gave us lots of historical context. I highly recommend this tour and I hope you are as lucky as I was to get Sorphea as your guide.

Vireak was a fantastic guide through Anghkor Wat. He was very knowledgeable of everything we saw and explained the religious symbolism and legends behind what otherwise would have just been beautiful carvings. It was absolutely worth having a guide with us and Vireak was exceptional in sharing the history, culture, and religion of the temples. We had an amazing day. Our tour started at 4:30 AM and getting there early was the best decision, we visited three temples with almost no one around before the big crowds arrived. Sunrise at Angkor Wat was unforgettable, and we loved exploring Ta Prohm (the “Tomb Raider” temple) and the ancient royal city of Angkor Thom in the quiet morning light. Our guide, Choub, was fantastic, full of stories about the temples, history, and culture, always shared with warmth and positivity. Our driver, Mr. Sim, took great care of us with safe, smooth driving and was always right there waiting. Some thoughtful touches, chilled water and cooling towels after each stop, made a difference in the heat. If you’re a couple, I highly recommend booking this as a private tour. You’ll see more, move at your own pace, get better photos, and truly enjoy the experience, so much better than being in a large group where you miss half the magic and won’t feel that peaceful energy of each temple. 🇰🇭

We booked a private tour to visit Anghor Wat. Picked up on time at our hotel by our guide Samun and his driver, Samun was really informative about the temples, taking great care to show us the intricate details of the 3 temples. We learnt a great deal due to Samun’s excellent description of their history. The driver was very careful, and provided us with plenty of water and cold towels. Samun knew where to take the best photographs to help us remember a truly wonderful experience. I would thoroughly recommend both Samun and his driver, they make an excellent team.
