Among the mountains of La Paz City, there is an area with unique geological formations that will give us the impression of being in a surreal place.
During this experience, your guide will take you through a path where you will reach a point in the heights where you can observe the immensity of the Valley of the Animas, the city, and receive the first rays of the sun among the mountains and unique formations of the Valley of the Animas. On this private tour, your guide will explain the worldview of the locals and their beliefs and important data about the geological formation of the Andes and the characteristics of its mountains.
Finishing your activity, your guide will take you to try Salteñas, the most traditional Bolivian breakfast!

The Animas Valley entrance is a fascinating and picturesque place located on the outskirts of La Paz. Known for its natural beauty and unique geological formations, the valley is notable for its diverse geological makeup, which has given rise to its distinctive and attractive appearance.

Viewpoint 1: We will stop to observe the valley from a viewpoint at the upper part of the valley. Viewpoint 2: As soon as we get to the end of the first viewpoint we will get ready to start to walk in between the formations to see the flora and fauna of the valley. Viewpoint 3: We will get to the summit of the valley here you will receive the sunrise light that will start to cover the formations while we start our way down.

5.00Got up early , got picked up on time, went out to the start of the hike, and it all went well, Sergio was a good driver, a good conversation, knowledgeable. The scenery was awesome, it was a sunrise hike, even if you don't see the sun, it's a trip worth taking. A good start to the day. The hike itself was easy to moderate.

5.00Got picked up to go for the early morning sunrise hike, kinda rainy and drizzling this morning , so didn't really expect to see the sun. But the the hike was easy to moderate, the views were amazing, and the guide who took me, sergio, he was was very knowledgeable and good at communicating. I would highly rate this as a must do if you are here in La Paz bolivia
Good to have a local for safety for solo travellers.

3.00The guide was basic and spoke more to the driver than to me. Stayed well ahead of me in the hike and several times I had to ask him if I could take a photo without him in the frame.

5.00Sergio picked us up from our hotel for a sunrise hike in Valle de las Ánimas. He was extremely knowledgeable and provided fascinating, worldly conversation throughout the tour and some tips to make the most of our last day. After the hike, we enjoyed a delicious traditional Bolivian breakfast. This experience is highly recommended—there’s truly no better way to explore Valle de las Ánimas!

5.00Sergio was amazing! Our tour of Valle de las Ánimas was unforgettable. He was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating details about the area's unique geology and cultural significance. He was also so patient with my family, especially as we took our time climbing the trail. The drivers who picked us up were just as wonderful—kind, generous, and eager to share more about life in Bolivia. The views were absolutely breathtaking—a true hidden gem!

1.00I would never book with this company again. The tour was cancelled due to public protests. They knew this would be an issue, that it would be hard to travel, but took the booking anyway. Even after their negligence I only received half refund. Very disappointed.

4.00A great start to the morning-eerie spires rising up with the city in the background. Both Nelson and Jorge were great and so enthusiastic to share their local knowledge,with Jorge giving us lots of history and other tips for Bolivia.

5.00THE BEST guide ever, so knowledgeable of the lands and also very funny and pleasant to be with. It’s an amazing tour with amazing nature and view of La Paz. Because the tour is so early, we got the valley to our selves. Highly recommend this tour, worth every penny!
