• 2 Day Trek - Ulleri-Ghorepani-Poon Hill

  As two families traveling with little kids, this was a great trip with just enough hiking and elevation climb to make it challenging and rewarding. The actual trail/hiking path is a great combination of meandering through quaint mountainside villages (first third), scenic roadside waterfalls and forest (second third), and a stunning last climb to Ghorepani village through the rhododendron forest and old mossy paths. There are plenty of Tea Houses to stop and rest at along the way, grab a bite to eat, and reprovision if needed. Ghorepani where you overnight, is a lovely town that affords breathtaking views over the Dhawalagiri and Annapurna mountains. We stayed in a simple, yet very comfortable hotel with a warm central fire to keep the dining room warm and cozy. The food was decent and the staff were very nice. The ascent up to Poon Hill was a 5am start which gave us plenty of time to get to the top, settle in with a hot chocolate and watch the magic and beauty of the sun breaking over the mountains. Expect company on the the last climb up and on top....it seems to be a popular trail/hike. Our guides Amrit and Krisna were exceptionally kind, patient, and informative. They facilitated all our stops, even ordering ahead to make sure lunch was ready when we arrived. I would highly recommend booking w this group, especially if you have a large group and/or kids. We never felt rushed, and Amrit was very good at letting us go at our pace, and gentling encouraging us to move when we needed to ( e.g. to make town before nightfall). Do be prepared for quite a long car ride if you are starting your trip in Pokhara; 3 hours, with 2 of them on very bumpy roads.

  Yesterday I came back from my 2 day trek with Can Travels and had an amazing experience. Everything was super easy to arrange: I booked the trip pretty spontaneously (2 days before) through Whatsapp and all my questions were answered quickly and helpfully. Payment was also super convenient, as someone from the agency came directly to my hostel in Pokhara. Great service! I was on the trek with my guide Biru, and I can’t say enough good things about him! He was incredibly friendly, supportive, and patient. As a total beginner in trekking I was a bit nervous, but Biru always made sure to go at my pace, taking plenty of breaks and reminding me to take it slow. He constantly checked in to see if I was feeling okay and always offered to take photos of me too! The accommodation in Ghorepani was also well chosen by the agency. On the second day, I wasn’t feeling well, and Biru was amazing. He took such good care of me and adjusted the plans to make sure I was comfortable, always prioritizing my well-being. I felt completely safe and supported throughout the trek. All in all, I had two fantastic days and can highly recommend Can Travels and especially Biru as a guide.   We had an amazing short trek to Poon Hill from Pokhara, and our guide Biru made it truly unforgettable! Despite the tight 2-day schedule, Biru paced the trek perfectly, ensuring we were comfortable and motivated throughout. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and always smiling — sharing local stories, helping with photos, and pointing out mountain peaks and wildlife along the way. The sunrise view from Poon Hill was breathtaking — totally worth the early start! We felt safe, well-cared-for, and inspired by the beauty of the Annapurnas.   Had the best time with my guide Biru: he explained al lot, maked sure I was OK al the time and I could really have a laugh with him. He is such a kind person. The trek itself was better than I expected: There is so much nature! Would recommend 100%!

  Had an amazing 2-day Poon Hill Trek with Couch Adventure Nepal and our fantastic guide, Amrit. The trek was short but intense, with breathtaking sunrise views over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Amrit was knowledgeable, friendly, and ensured a smooth journey. Accommodation and food along the way were great, and the whole experience was well-organized.
