5.00This tour walked around the neighborhood and area surrounding Anne Frank’s house. Our guide Marko was extremely knowledgeable about the story of Anne Frank and her family as well as the history of the Jewish population dating many years before WW2 and shared the interaction between this ethnic group, the city of Amsterdam and the Nazi Army. He pointed out various landmarks that were and some that still are important to the history and culture of the Jewish people. Seeing actual buildings and neighborhoods while hearing the stories of the struggles and atrocities endured by the Jewish people is much more impactful than just reading about it in a book.

4.00The guide was very knowledgeable and clearly enjoyed what he was doing. The weather was a little rainy and he was conscientious of being sure that we were comfortable. It is a great alternative activity if you cannot get tickets to Anne Frank's house! We learned a lot.
