Your walking tour will begin when your authorized guide picks you up at the previously agreed point. During this tour you will have the opportunity to visit the places described in the itinerary, among these places are the viewpoint of the city, Cerro de la Cruz, from where you can appreciate the view and have a better idea of the distribution of streets and avenues. . Next you can visit the former monastery of the Dominican order of friars, now converted into a hotel, restaurant and convention center. A museum and Jade factory where you will learn more about the Mayan culture. You will see the public laundry of the Tanque de La Union square, the Church of San Francisco where you will visit the tomb of Hermano Pedro who was beatified and canonized by Pope John Paul II, the Central Park with its Cathedral, City Hall Palace and former Palace of The General Captains and finally the iconic Arch of Santa Catalina from the 16th century

The objective of going through this place is to rest a bit from the walk. There is coffee, free Wi-Fi, toilets. This is a museum that exhibits replicas of Mayan artifacts, it is also worth seeing as one learns about the Mayans, their history, their past and how their calendar works.

Diego led us on a fascinating and upbeat tour of Antigua, personalizing the itinerary for our multigenerational family’s needs. He shared his impressive knowledge of local history and culture, answered all of our questions, and recommended books we could read to learn even more. He showed us where to go to take the best photos! We all shared some good laughs, and our whole group returned home with great memories of the day. Highly recommend!!!

Diego is a 10 tour guide! He conveyed his love for Antigua with every detail and anecdote he told. He was super attentive to the group all the time, open to questions and making sure we were all comfortable with the itinerary. It was three hours they honestly flew.

A very good experience through the streets of Antigua. Diego is a very knowledgeable person and you can tell he likes what he does. He taught us many parts and much history of Antigua that if not for him would have gone unnoticed. He also makes some very good literary recommendations. It is certainly a tour I would recommend to everyone. Diego if you read this, a very strong embrace 🫂♥️

Luis Diego comes from a family of local guides and is of truly authentic Antiguan heritage. His family has met many of the city’s most famous inhabitants from the past, and that deep connection shows in every story he tells. He has an incredible memory and completely floods you with stories, fun facts, anecdotes, and fascinating insights about life, culture, climate, and history in Antigua. The time flies by because he makes everything so engaging and personal. I honestly could not recommend a better guide for a city walking tour. Get ready for two to three hours of pure Antiguan immersion. Thanks, Luis Diego, for an unforgettable experience!

This walking tour was absolutely incredible—informative, engaging, and truly unforgettable. This tour was a great experience and an excellent way to visit Antigua from Guatemala City. The tour was very well organized from start to finish, which made the day feel smooth and stress-free. Transportation was comfortable, the timing was well planned, and we never felt rushed. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and did a wonderful job explaining the history, culture, and significance of the sites we visited. I had a wonderful tour with Luis! I was visiting Antigua solo for the first time and he did a great job of showing me around the city. I learned a lot about its history and visited some places I would not have otherwise I think. Luis knows many people who live and work in Antigua, so it was fun to see him interact with them, and I feel like I got a more authentic look at the town that way. He also gave me some good advice about my Acatenango hike the next day. I will definitely book a tour with him again the next time I am in Antigua!
