Exciting wildlife regeneration project

We visited Anura Eco-tour last year for a night walk around Anura Park and met Alberto and learned about this wonderful wildlife restoration project. Our minds were blown by what Alberto showed us, we enjoyed it all so much we also did a fantastic guided walk with him in the nearby rainforest. What is so fascinating about this project is being able to witness the extraordinarily fast regeneration of the jungle. Alberto is so knowledgable, is doing incredible work with local communities demonstrating how quickly depleted farm land can be restored to forest and generate income through tourism. Experiencing the speedy recovery of the forest filled me with hope. An absolute joy to visit, we will certainly be back. If you're in La Fortuna, or anywhere nearby this is a must-see - and unmissable if you are interested in wildlife regeneration.

What a wonderful place! My family and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour and agree that it was a definite highlight of the trip! We booked a two-hour tour visit and were guided by Alberto, a kind gentleman from Spain who's love and passion for the park and its inhabitants was obvious. Our two children (12 and 10) were delighted that they were able to spot a seemingly endless array of life, including poison dart frogs, millipedes, numerous spiders, hummingbirds, and more. Alberto led us through at a comfortable pace, pointing out various plants and animals along the way, and the tour never felt rushed or "canned". Every time my son would stop to point something out, we would take the time to explore and learn about what was discovered, and we really felt like we were a part of the tour instead of just passengers being ushered through the park. The park was easy to access by car from La Fortuna and Alberto provided flashlights for us to use on the trail. At two hours, the duration was just the right length to keep our two kids from burning out along the way. We visited Sarapiqui, La Fortuna, Monte Verde, and Playa Herradura during our trip and did multiple tours at each. Anura really stood out amongst them all. I'd highly recommend stopping and giving this one a chance, especially for those with kids or other family members who want to participate in the discovery. Many thanks, Alberto!

wonderful nature reserve and ecological park with conservation mission! saw lots of small frogs and the glowing eyes of a caiman. guide was knowledgeable and friendly.

After the night tour that we had loved so much, we came back for a day tour to experience the place during day time. We learned so much about the plants, wildlife and pollinators. Alberto is a very knowledgeable guide and passionate about his place, making this experience very unique. Highly recommended!

From beginning to end, it was a wonderful, enriching tour, full of knowledge and love for nature. Our guide, Alberto, is an exceptional biologist. He teaches and explains everything in such a clear, simple, and passionate way that you simply can't believe how incredible nature is. The entire project is a true natural sanctuary for animals and definitely one of the best tours for learning. If you plan to come, ask to go with Alberto! I promise it will blow your mind!

This Anura Eco-tour differs from many others in the area. It is guided by an expert biologist, ensuring accurate and fascinating information about the local ecosystem. Your passion and knowledge are contagious. I loved learning about the habitat restoration project and medicinal plants, as well as seeing a lot of fauna and flora. The conservation work they do is wonderful. The experience is intimate, educational and perfect for those looking for authentic eco-tourism. An essential activity!

The experience with Alberto is very good, I am a lover of nature and it is fascinating when he explains to you the why of everything with understandable terms and words, in addition the tour offers an unforgettable adventure because you really do not know what you can run into along the way and it is quite blissful to be able to observe and know in depth every bug or animal present.

The Anura eco-tour, led by a knowledgeable biologist, was an excellent way to learn about local restoration efforts and Costa Rica’s biodiversity. Our guide pointed out native plants, insects and amphibians we would have missed on our own. The tour is small-group and family-friendly, with easy trails and lots of wildlife sightings. If you’re planning nature activities in La Fortuna, this conservation-minded tour at ANURA is a thoughtful, educational choice.

We visited ANURA to do the day tour with the biologist and were delighted. The hike is quiet and perfect to learn about the biodiversity of La Fortuna. The guide explained everything clearly and passionately, from the native plants to the insects and birds we saw along the way. We especially enjoyed understanding the restoration process they are doing on the property. A different activity in Costa Rica, ideal for those who enjoy nature calmly.

You learn a lot about vegetation and animals, from everyday data to very interesting technical data. The guide answers all your questions clearly and in a pleasant way. It may seem like a long journey but it is so enriching, creative and interesting that you are left wanting more. I'd definitely come back!
