I’m Saranga, an English-speaking guide from the Anuradhapura area. Join me on a mountain bike adventure through the ancient UNESCO World Heritage City of Anuradhapura, where history, culture, and nature come together beautifully.
Our hidden-route mountain bike tours take you beyond the usual paths, letting you discover secret temples, serene lakes, and local life at your own pace. We provide a professional mountain bicycle experience with top-quality bikes from trusted brands such as Giant, Trek, and Louis Garneau.

At 122 metres (400 ft), it was the world's tallest stupa, and the third tallest structure in the world when it was built by King Mahasena of Anuradhapura (273–301).
Samadhi Statue
The Samadhi Buddha is a famous statue situated at Mahamevnāwa Park in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. The Buddha is depicted in the position of the Dhyana Mudra, the posture of meditation associated with his first Enlightenment. This statue is 7 feet 3 inches in height and carved from dolomite marble.

5.00Saranga is a funny and friendly guide that shared a lot of history about the site as well as the culture of the country. I really appreciate him accepted my booking as I am a solo traveller which he could have chosen to take a group instead. Overall, I enjoyed the tour so much!

5.00This was definitely a highlight of my trip in Sri Lanka! Loved the history and Stories Saranga shares of this beautiful and most significant historical, cultural, and religious site. Biking is the best way to explore Anuradhapura. We biked through rice fields, lakes, and villages to visit different archaeological sites, something you can’t do in a car or tuktuk! And thank you Saranga for helping me sort out my transport to Negombo!

5.00We have a great experience during our cycling tour. Saranga was very accommodating, and knowledgeable. This is a great way to see the Unesco sites, and get some exercise at the same time. Highly recommend!

5.00Our guide was super friendly and knowledgable about Buddhism and all the buddhist building, ruins and customs. We learned and experienced so much and touring the surroundings by bike was really the best experience. We rode through sun and an enormous downpour, which was both enjoyable. We also really loved the local meal. Overall, a really superb experience! Highly recommended.

5.00What a surprise! By far the best visit of my stay in Sri Lanka: rich in history, discovery, religion, landscape, you pass through a village, along a lake. Everything was perfect. Doing Anuradhapura in this way is the best way to visit the city.
