Aphrodisias

is one of the oldest sacred sites in Turkey. Dedicated to the ancient Mother Goddess and then the Greek goddess Aphrodite, it was the site of a magnificent Temple of Aphrodite and the home of a renewed school of marble sculpture. The Temple of Aphrodite later became a Christian basilica through an impressive swapping of columns. Today, the Temple of Aphrodite is well-preserved and partially restored; it is not hard to imagine its ancient splendor. Aphrodisias also offers ruins of a large theatre, a stadium and other structures, as well as an on-site museum displaying artifacts.

Enjoyed a day trip from Izmur to Pamukkale and Aphrodisias. Our guide Isik, was friendly, knowledgeable and had such a good vibe that we enjoyed our adventure even more with her. Aphrodisias was partly constructed but considering the age, was put together nicely. Walking thru temple of Aphrodisias, which later turned into a Christian Bacillus during Roman times was amazing. Make sure to stop at the nearby restaurant and enjoy an order of Kiymali Pide, minced meat on bread, and Ayran, the yogurt drink of Turkey to add to your experience. At Pamukkale, the limestone pools are so unique and beautiful at the same time. Take your time walking, as it can be a bit slippery. I recommend this tour and make sure to ask for Isik, if you want it to be a bit more memorable.

After lot of research we finally decided to try this tour company. I can say this with conversation that, we had a wonderful time with them. Kerem made sure that we got all details on time he was contently in touch with us. Selection of hotels was good and all our tour guides were excellent. Not but the least they offer great price.
