  I noticed some negative reviews but we didn’t experience any of that. The guides were very helpful and explained everything to us. We booked a few excursions through Apukka Resort Adventures, including the husky and reindeer experiences, and it ended up being one of the absolute highlights of our trip. The husky safari was incredible. At first I didn’t think we’d be the ones driving the sled but we did and it made it that much better! The dogs were so energetic and clearly well cared for and you could tell. The dogs just wanted to go and they love it! Once we got moving through the snowy forest, it felt like something out of a movie. It was peaceful, exciting, and just an all-around unforgettable experience. What stood out the most was how well everything was organized. From transportation to instructions, everything ran smoothly, and the guides were fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they do. You can tell the animals are treated with respect, which made us feel even better about the experience. Nothing felt rushed or staged. Overall, this was such a unique and memorable part of our trip. If you’re visiting, I’d highly recommend booking these excursions—it’s something you’ll be talking about long after you leave.

  So I wasn't able to complete the activity, but Apukka was very accommodating. The warm weather prevented the Husky Adventure from going forward, nothing they can do about it. I respect their concern for both the customer and their dogs. They first changed to a shorter ride and then had to change to a Husky Dog visit. I ultimately cancelled since I had already had a Husky visit. They graciously refunded my money. I will absolutely rebook with them when I am back in the area again.

  Beautiful experience and well managed by the staff guys. Despite the large amount of huskies the cages were clean and the dogs seemed healthy and well kept. The ride was long enough, they gave us the opportunity to change drivers halfway through, even taking nice souvenir photos. After the run, we got to cuddle and interact with the dogs, most of them super affectionate and playful! While we were interacting with some dogs, an operator approached us to tell us their names and tell us more about their story. They also offered us a hot herbal tea and biscuits inside a kota before taking us to visit the area with the puppies with whom you can play. Highly recommended experience, everything was perfect! Among other things, they allowed us to carry out the activity in total safety and along a path still well maintained when several other tours for the same day had canceled the experience due to the abnormal heat that had ruined the trails.

  

  

• Amazing from the beginning to the end

  We were a family of 5 and couldn’t wait for this activity. Myself and hubby did the self drive in Norway years ago and now it was time for the kids to feel it. We were taken from the city centre by a shuttle bus to Apukka resort. Then clothing and boots were provided. Then the guides took us to the husky farm and gave us instructions how to lead the dogs and the sleigh . The huskies were so excited to run. The ride took an hour in a private forest land. After that we were able to pet the dogs and then they took us to a tent near the fire and gave us a local juice from berries and apple and biscuits. After that we were taken to see the puppies, they were adorable. While we were at the dressing house to change our clothes, I peaked into the reception area and found the restaurant there was offering a buffet. So we took advantage of it and had lunch there. We explored the area with the live cam, the swing, kids were playing with the snow and sledding and we peaked into the reindeer farm too. After a few hours we took the shuttle back to the city centre. All I all was an absolutely great experience. We all enjoyed it.   manic about animal welfare, i was delighted to see how fit and well cared for the dogs seemed . People seem to confuse real animals with Disney ones in their reviews and expect automatons . the ride was a super length and to see the puppies after was very special treat - loved the big black lab, who belongs to the owner who gets everyone to play with him too an experience so enchanting you forget to feel the cold ......

  Very careless staff with tourists and animals. Several dogs are obviously too agitated for inexperienced tourists to control and staff do not try to calm them down or replace those that do not seem safe. During the wait before the departure, several dogs were fighting among themselves and the staff was only shouting at them. The person behind us could not control the dogs from his sled, extremely agitated before the departure. He passed us en route, hitting us - our sled was pushed slightly off the trail. The lady who accompanied us began to mutter in an unkind manner. After this incident, the dogs of the same sled started shooting in a disorganized way, each in its own way - the sled was no longer advancing. The lady didn't even intervene to help them. For us, everything went well, but it was worrying to see the lack of support for the people who seemed to be struggling behind us. The scenery was beautiful, the dogs endearing and very eager for affectionate interactions, but one can enjoy it by avoiding encouraging this type of catch-and-see activity that seems so unethical - unfortunately, I realized it after having this experience...

  So much fun , definitely recommend this tour , very friendly staff and knowledgeable. The huskey ride was amazing !

  The husky ride tour guide is very good and nice person... She guide us all along the husky ride journey... The husky ride is very fun and I will definitely recommend to my friend 😍

  My 1st dog sledding and it did not disappoint. Beautiful resort with a nice adventure center. Easy to follow instructions on driving the sleigh. After the trip we were offered hot juice and cookies by a fire. I wish o had booked other excursions with this tour operator. Lifetime memories were made to hold and cherish for a lifetime.

  The husky experience itself was positive, albeit a bit short for the cost. We met the guide, learned how to use the sled, and drove the sled for 45 minutes or so, and then got to pet and take photos with the dogs, who were adorable. However, beware of the pickup and customer service! We were waiting indoors on a -15 degree day, with clear sightlines to the outdoor bus stop in Santa's village where the bus was supposed to pick us up. We were there 5 minutes early, and the bus had not arrived yet. Even though we got out to the bus stop right on time, and the bus had already left!! The customer support was rude and offered no help, saying if we don't find our own way to the resort within the next few minutes, our experience was forfeit. I've never seen a pickup service leave immediately upon arrival, without even checking for missing passengers. If we hadn't immediately found transportation, we would've lost over 300 euros on the spot. Book at your own risk!
