5.00Joel shared a wealth of information with us about the ruins but what was most important was the familial link and his heritage as a Mayan. The personal connection with him made for an amazing tour. Hearing how the Mayan culture shaped the region and that he and his family descended from a long line of Mayans, made the tour so much richer and more meaningful. 5.00This was a great experience. Joel is so informed, not only about the ruins, but about Mayan culture. He gave us a sense of what life was like when the temple wan inhabited. It was such a rich experience. Joel is also half Mayan so he was able to speak the language. I highly recommend it.
