Get an early start with breakfast in the market and then snack your way through the artisans market while you oggle and perhaps purchase the beautiful handmade arts and crafts. After the market stroll through the mural laced Guadalupe neighborhood to get to the Fabrica Aurora, where you will rest and rejuvenate with caffeine before setting off to explore the many delights offered by the numerous galleries of the Fabrica.

5.00I did this on my first day. Mary was an excellent guide, full of information, very patient, lovely to deal with. I’m so happy that I did this on my first day because it gave me a terrific understanding of how magical a place San Miguel de Allende is.

5.00Elisa did a great job of explaining the foods and crafts at the market, with a lot of insights into everyday life in San Miguel for the people who live there. She is clearly very knowledgeable about local history. I especially appreciated her tip about the Art Walk happening at the Fabrica Aurora later that night—I would never have found out about it myself, and it was a fun event to connect with the wider art community in SMA.

5.00Such a wonderful way to learn about food and art in San Miguel and the surrounding areas. Elisa Torres was incredibly knowledgeable and full of enthusiasm. I highly recommend this tour if you are interested in learning about traditional foods and the artisans of central Mexico.

5.00This was perfect for our first day in SMA to get an overview of the city center and where we wanted to go back to spend more time. We cannot recommend Elisa Torres highly enough-she was really terrific as our guide!

5.00We loved our tour with Elisa! She incorporated so much history into the tour and the snacks were so tasty. Her perspective as a San Miguel de Allende local was so special. She showed us several places we returned to later to shop and gave us recommendations for the rest of our stay.

5.00Elisa was the best! I loved the mix of food, art, history, and local culture on this tour. It was the best thing to do on our first day! We got to try so many foods and see a lot of cool places. And it gave us lots of ideas of where to go with the rest of our time - plus great recommendations from Elisa! I was so happy we did this. I highly recommend!
