ArtVo is an immersive art or ‘trick art’ gallery, where you are encouraged to touch the art and become part of the art by taking photographs from designated points on the floors of the gallery.
There are 9 themed zones to explore with over 80 hand painted immersive installations just minutes from Melbourne CBD.
And there’s a new theme - Fantasy - spanning the entire course of the gallery. The Fantasy theme will see people explore the ocean, polar ice caps, space and the forest. Plus, the dreamscape art will see some very exciting interactive experiences.
Getting to ArtVo is easy. Catch the tram- the FREE City Circle (35), 70 or 86 tram- to Waterfront City/Docklands stop D11 or jump in the car and head to The District Docklands East or West multi-level car parks, where parking is easy.

Once arriving at ArtVo, you will receive a short introduction which explains how the gallery works and the best way to capture your Instagram worthy photos! You can spend as long as you like inside ArtVo, but visitors generally require 2 hours to experience the entire gallery. Staff are on hand through the entire journey to provide inspiration with how to pose, to ensure that you are able to take the best possible photos. ArtVo provides the ultimate fun and unique destination, allowing for amazing photos and memories to be had, for all, both young and young at heart. Some favourites include taking a ride in a gondola through a Venetian canal or even getting your own set of angel wings. By posting on Instagram & Facebook using the #artvo_melbourne like thousands of others have done, you will have the opportunity to be reposted onto our Social Media account, to show off your amazing image!

5.00This was our first ever visit and the experience was amazing. My friend and I are in our 50's but did not feel out of place there at all, it's not just for kids. We received a rundown by a lovely lady called Daisy, who came and saw us later in the visit and she took photos for us and told us the best ways to pose for each scene. Also, during our visit, I experienced a medical issue, and Varsi and the other staff were really terrific with their help. I think my friend and I will definitely be back.

5.00Hidden away on the 2nd floor of a shopping centre, so not the easiest place to find, but we spent an absolutely brilliant couple of hours in this amazing art exhibition. Getting into the photos was super easy and you are even shown where to stand to get the best photos and how to hold your phone. There were helpful staff who took pictures for us in the exhibits that allowed for more than one person, which was really nice. I would definitely recommend you going!

4.00Kids loved posing for all the different shots. Aged 10,7 and 3. Only downfall was last time we went (7 years ago) there were more staff floating around, helping to take family photos. This time, limited help to take family photos.

5.00Had our family visiting from France and took them to ArtVo for our Grandson’s 9th birthday. So much fun . Lots of laughs and great memories to take back.

3.00While fun we went through this museum in 30-min. The staff explained how to take the photos. I wish I left my purse at home becaue I had to leave it on the floor at every photo opportunity.
