California Lighthouse
The California Lighthouse, commonly referred to by locals as Faro, rises prominently on a limestone plateau at Hudishibana, near Arashi Beach and the Sasariwichi dunes on Aruba’s northwestern coast. It is recognized as the tallest structure on the island. The lighthouse takes its name from the British steamship S.S. California, which sank in 1891—more than two decades before the lighthouse was constructed between 1914 and 1916. Its construction served as a safeguard to prevent similar maritime accidents. In May 2016, the lighthouse was fully restored in honor of its 100th anniversary.
Alto Vista Chapel
Alto Vista Chapel is a small Catholic chapel that stands on the hills above the north shore of Aruba. The present chapel was completed in 1952 and is located on the exact same location as the original chapel, which was built by the Venezuelan missionary in 1750.

5.00Dolfi was friendly and a very good tour guide. His accent was a little thick so you have pay close attention. He pointed out things that you would typically miss if you took the tour on your own.

5.00Very relaxing tour. All the historical information you need to know about Aruba. I think they should add an hour of shopping to the trip. I had an exciting adventure. I think you should ask for John. He was phenomenal.

4.00Our tour guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the island. However, his accent was very thick and you will find yourself understanding him half way through the tour. Very much enjoyed the last half of the tour to places that we have never seen before.

4.00Guide was great...John...I think. But having to sit in the same seat where I couldn't see anything...or ask questions while traveling. I asked if we could rotate seats at stops...but that didn't happen. John was great...but don't sit in last row in aisle seat. I waited 1 hr early to be 1st one there and very pushy orhers jumped ahead and blocked me from sitting by a large window. I think the guides should rotate group seats so all who paid the same get same experience. 3 in my group. Thank you
