Given every half hour, our guided tours are both informative and interactive. A knowledgeable guide will first introduce the adult emus and ostriches. You will learn about the ostrich's amazing speed as well as other defense mechanisms it uses against predators. Mating, rearing, and feeding habits will both surprise and amuse you. You will even have the opportunity to hand-feed the not-so-shy creatures. Just watch out! Ostriches are ALWAYS hungry, and if you have food in your hands, you may quickly find yourself surrounded by a herd of curious critters.

Aruba Ostrich Farm
The Ostrich Farm welcomes you to come and meet over 80-count farm animals including Ostriches and Emus. Visitors are encouraged to partake in a guided tour of the farm, inhabited by both ostriches the largest living animal in the world and their flightless Australian relatives, emus. The tour provides the opportunity to learn about the natural behavior and survival instincts of these amazing creatures through detailed information as well as personal encounters with the birds. Before or after the tour, we welcome guests to peruse our Art Shop, chock-full of authentic goods from Zimbabwe and a great collection of local art and craft. Or simply relax in the shade of our sprawling Savanna Lodge Bar & Restaurant and sample a delicious home cooked meal. And enjoy the panoramic views of the island's northern coast while sipping on a fruity shake or frosty beer from the bar. The Aruba Ostrich Farm is dedicated to providing a memorable and unique experience for all of our guests.

4.00This was a very unique place and even with the heat (we went last July), the kids really enjoyed themselves. We snapped a bunch of memorable photos and felt like we were right in the action without infringing on the animals' space or daily habits. There are certainly enough posted signs and precautionary steps that the guides take to ensure visitor safety, and they do a nice job making sure everyone has enough time to take in those family moments, once everyone warms up to the size of the ostriches. The farm is navigable but not ‘small’ by any means, just make sure you stay hydrated in the midday sun. The ostriches are impressive and loveable animals; there was a little pinch to their peck when being fed, but just enough to make you giggle and make you feel like you braved a more exotic encounter. Some of the tickets/tour prices include lunch, which we thought was a great value and even tastier and more complete than you might expect from a tour-with-a-lunch arrangement. I remember specifically the fried grouper being absolutely delicious, my fiance loved her chicken shawarma and the kids raved about the wings. The gift shop was great too; not an overwhelming amount of choices and mostly highlighting local artists…some of our favorite souvenirs came from this shop! There was plenty of comical signage around the premise, including in the bathroom, and our tour guide was a great storyteller with a fun accent that really drew you in as he brought you up to speed on everything Ostrich (and the other wildlife moseying about). While it may not be ideal to visit after a long day at the beach, due to the lack of tree and shade coverage, there is a large pavilion/dining hall/receiving area that you can always cool off under. We really enjoyed this tour and thought it was well worth our time, money, and carving out a spot in your vacation itinerary, since it’s more of an authentic Aruban experience; not the beach, not high-end shopping, just a nice reprieve from the daily action.

5.00I would have given this 5.5 stars but Harold refused to ride an ostrich even after I offered to take up a collection from the group. So it only gets 5 stars. Great tour, interesting, entertaining, cool set up. Who wouldn't like giant terrifying birds and Harold?

3.00It was cool to see the ostriches and have a chance to feed a couple of them — the older one from a bowl and the younger from our hands. The tour itself was just ok - the tour guide seemed bored and wasn’t very enthusiastic or engaging. We had lunch there and it was good. They also have snow cones/shaved ice that people seemed to enjoy. It was an expensive cab ride from Eagle Beach so not sure I would recommend it if you don’t have a car.

5.00This was such a fun tour. The people who work there are super nice. When I booked the tour, I somehow missed that it didn't come with Transportation. So we missed going on our scheduled day as when we attempted to get a taxi for transport they wanted to charge an outrageous amount. So we rented a car and headed out there the next day and explained what happened. They still honored the tickets which included lunch. The tour guide was very friendly, you can feed the birds from a bowl or your hand (many said it hurt), pet them and get pictures. We had fried grouper, fries, rice, salad and a smoothie which was overall pretty good. They offer ostrich and emu eggs, they are not cheap (over $100) and you have to reserve this.
