Now for something completely different! This air-conditioned vessel remains above sea level at all times, while its hull - at 5 feet below the surface - provides spectacular viewing of the Arashi Coral Reef, abundant sea life, and the Antilla shipwreck. The Antilla is a famous WWII German ship and is one of the largest shipwrecks in the Caribbean.

Had the best time during our visit to Aruba with this excursion. Was able to find the pier with a little help from locals. Check in was easy at the little store on the pier. We had to take a short ride out to the actual clear boat and that gave us a chance to see the shoreline. The ride in the clear boat was beautiful getting to see the coral and fish and then over to the ship wreck. Highly recommend this for kids and families.

It was focused on the shipwreck. The area didn't provide a view of as many fish as I've seen on other semi-sub tours. Somewhat disappointing.

This was pretty cool. The boat ride to the submarine was awesome. Saw the shipwreck, and other marine life. If you are expecting to see sharks or large fish, this isn’t your trip. We did see a green sea turtle.

This was a fun inexpensive activity to see the aquatic life around the coral reef and ship wreck. The guide was knowledgeable and pointed out what the different fish were. The entrance to the pier for check in is in between the Riu and Hilton. If you’re driving to the area give yourself 30-45 mins to find street parking. This area is very congested. Check in was easy and we sat at the local restaurant and had an appetizer while we waited to board the boat. You will board a shuttle boat and then transfer to the semi-submarine boat. The boats are tied together and you walk over a ramp. This is not an excursion for someone with mobility difficulties. It was fun and I would do it again. People please tip the crew! Out of 8 families only three of us tipped.

This is a great and unique experience as you get to see a fair amount of undersea life and a really cool WWII era shipwreck all without getting wet! Angie our tour guide is very knowledgeable about the history of the wreck and the types of sea life we encountered. During the trip you can go up to the deck of the boat if you want and you should also be aware that the boat picking you up at the pier is a shuttle that takes you out to the semi sub which is not clear from the tour description. Overall a worthwhile trip. Recommended!

Check visibility in water before going. When water is murky (e.g. after storm, big wind, or big waves), you cannot see well. I have done this quite a few times with visiting friends, and today was the worst. The boat ride is still nice though.

You WILL see plenty of fish, get a glance at the Antilla and chuckle with your sub tour guide. Recommend the rightside for a better view of the Antilla.

My husband and I visited Aruba over Valentine's day weekend and compromised on this tour rather than the full submarine experience. My husband loved the experience. The meeting point was at the very busy DePalm pier, which was very conveniently located to our hotel in Palm Beach. We lined up along the pier, outside of a very busy restaurant, which was a little confusing. It's a two step process to get to the semi-submarine. First we had to take a boat over to another part of the island, before transferring to the semi submarine. The Captain and First Mate were nice on the first boat and gave us a little information about the island. Once we got to the semi-submarine we had to cross over to the other vessel. The tradewinds made this a little difficult for some people who didn't have great balance. We then descended a short flight of stairs. The seats were fold down and it was a little tight maneuvering. we first went to a relatively young reef before we went to the shipwreck. At first there were only a few small fish but there were more to see at the shipwreck. Taking pictures were a little hard through the plastic windows. The fish had to be very close up for them to appear clear. Claustrophobia wasn't a problem for most, but the waves are strong due to tradewinds and I got a little seasick. Our tour guide has been doing this for over 20 years. She had a lot of punny jokes and worked hard to engage the crowd. The ride to and from the semi-submarine was great, good breeze, sunny. Overally, a unique experience.

It was a fun experience, especially for a six year old. A comfortable way to view the reef and the shipwreck. The viewing area is air- conditioned. There were plenty of fish, especially at the shipwreck site. The tour guide gave a lot of information on the Antilla (ship) and the many types of fish. We enjoyed the tour.
