Alto Vista Chapel

At Alto Vista Chapel, the most historical and first chapel in Aruba, you will bask in the beauty and tranquillity of no other location in Aruba. Our tour guides will share the beautiful history behind the chapel known as Aruba's holy sight. You can reflect and meditate in the tranquillity garden just behind the chapel from the outside. Take in the breathtaking view of the coastline and surrounding hills. If you are so moved, light a candle and give thanks for life's experience. During your stop at this breathtaking site, our tour guides will show you the beauties of the landmark, once built-in in 1952 as a tiny stone chapel located on a hillside high above the city of Oranjestad. From a distance, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the sea. Alto Vista Chapel is one of Aruba's National Landmarks. It is still a worship site, yet it is open to all individuals who wish to visit during daylight hours.

The entire experience was actually quite nice and enjoyable. Our guide was terrific and the views of the ocean as you drive along the coast are amazing. Nevertheless, we booked the tour, this one particularly, because the title said Cave Pool and cliff jumping. Not until two hours have passed in the tour, did the guide mention that he cave pool and cliff jumping were not permitted due to changes made by the government. We went February 2026 and the changes were made in October. There is absolutely no reason the tour operator couldn’t change the name and description of the excursion. They just haven’t updated their site or this site because families like mine want to go to the Cave pool. Also, the equipment is old and dated. A number of other tours took the same route and they all had modern ATVs with big shock absorbers .

This has got to be one of the best excursions we have ever been on. We had the best time with Danny as our guide. So much fun on the UTVs around the island. Such good value for money. Loved the animal sanctuary as well. Would 100% book again.

Incredible views and off road ride! Best way to see the most beautiful side of the island. Guides and experience are both top notch. Our guide Aigil was a great host and guide! Must do experience, would highly recommend!

Fun ride. Great guide. Amazing views. We weren't able to cliff jump or swim in the natural pool due to safety concerns. We feel that we should have been notified of this ahead of the tour.

Brian was a really fun, knowledgeable, and nice tour guide! They provide bandanas and water and you stop 5 times. It goes by so fast! It’s super fun and a great way to tour the island. They coordinate transportation to and from your hotel too! Cliff jumping moved to swimming at a white sand beach which was also cool!! Good for kids and adults!

The UTV ride itself was exciting and a great way to see Aruba’s rugged side. We visited the ruins of the Bushiribana Gold Mill Ruins, which were fascinating and offered beautiful coastal views. We also stopped at the Natural Pool, which was definitely a highlight — swimming there was a unique experience. The tour also included a visit to Philip’s Animal Garden, which was a nice added stop and enjoyable to walk through. However, one of the reasons we chose this specific tour was because it advertised cliff jumping. Unfortunately, that did not happen. There was no opportunity for cliff jumping, nor was there a clear explanation as to why it wasn’t included that day. If cliff jumping is something you’re specifically looking forward to, I would recommend confirming in advance whether it will actually be part of your tour. Overall, the guides were friendly and the scenery was beautiful, but I do think the advertising should better reflect what’s actually included. It was still a good experience — just not exactly what was promised.

We had an excellent time with June and Tony as our guides. The cliff diving and natural pool are closed but the drive really fun and we got to see many sites. Would 100% recommend. Read the directions on the pick up location and time to make sure you make the bus. They provide bandanas to help with the dust. You will get dirty so wear clothes you’re ok getting dirty in. There’s a chance to get in the ocean near the end.

This was so much fun! Andrew was our tour guide, picked us up at our hotel and was with us throughout the whole tour. He is so much fun and they all do an amazing job with the tour, making us laugh and that we are safe. Highly recommend this excursion.
