5.00This is a 2 hour walking tour that covers the history of Asheville through its buildings and neighborhoods. Our guide was lively and fun and knew how to present the material so that those who knew nothing about the social and political history could follow and those who knew a fair amount were delighted by the new information. The walking part was not strenuous and the sites were charming. Highly recommended!

4.00This was our first visit to Asheville. The tour guide was a 30 year resident of Asheville and his depth of knowledge of the architecture, history and politics were impressive. We would recommend the tour!

5.00Maryland was absolutely fantastic! What a great way to see Asheville and learn about the history as well as the personal experience of someone who lives there. Got to see some great sites and have a fabulous time doing it. Would highly recommend.

5.00Even though I was the only one to show up for my tour, Tebbe wasn't going to disappoint me by canceling it. In fact, he gave me an extra-long tour, showing me things that I told him I love (eg, murals) in addition to the regular stops. We had a lovely chat (turns out we're the same age and have a lot in common) before the walking began. I didn't get a chance to stop for my morning coffee, so he took me to Old Europe Pastries first (which happened to be on my list of recommended places to visit)! To my delight, we went to an art gallery together, which we passed along the downtown route. He taught me so much about Asheville (and the downtown area) and despite being alone, he made this a highlight of my birthday vacation!
