  This was a perfect day trip to pine clad Burabay National Park..an oasis of hills and lakes surrounded by steppelands... Astana Travels tailored a special trip for me and I wasn't disappointed...I would very much recommend them for anyone traveling in the Astana region...the guides were punctual, friendly and informative...I learned a lot about Kazakhstan generally Burabay specifically.   Astana Horizons are very professional in handling the fast reservation and make everything smooth and warm. The guide Miras is very nice, explain the legends and history in details and very funny to know about it. He is also the good driver. the whole journey I experienced the beautiful scene in pike lake and Burabay national park, and riding horses inside the park, which are all very unforgettable.   A day with Aitzahn was akin to heaven. I felt happy and ten years younger, despite my clumsy attempts to mount the horse during one of the many activities. With kindness and encouragement, I was soon atop the horse and the circuit walk was wonderful. We left my hotel at 6 am in fog, but soon the skies turned a brilliant blue. The mountain and lake views were stunning, and the temperature perfect for hiking. The experience was immensely enjoyable. Burabay National Park is a must-see gem. Aitzahn shared fascinating insights into the geography and legends, and conversation flowed easily. I felt safe, informed, and at ease. I loved the hidden Imanayev waterfalls and the delicious, generous plov lunch at Dostar, especially the tomatoes! Even the orange-lemon tea won me over. • Burabay National Park - a winter wonder land

  I only had one day to make a trip outside Astana and booked a driver and a car with Astana Horizons to the Burabay National Park. It's approx. a 3 hours drive one way so leaving early is mandatory. The views of the frozen lake and the surrounding mountains, all still snow-covered, were truly impressive. Damir was a great driver and experienced tour guide as well as a very interesting person to talk about many different subjects. The whole trip was most rewarding and enjoyable !!

  Beatiful lakes and hills, short horse ride in snow good. Snacks and water on trip not provided, and meal just two main meal options only one of which was Kazhak in Cafe by car park (disapointing) considering cost of trip

  It was nice! The weather wasn’t that great but we tried our best to enjoy the trip. Special thanks to Kadrybek and our guide Damir, they were very responsive and friendly towards us. Will definitely try other tours with them in summertime

  Very beautiful experience in the national park and enjoyed the horse riding the most! Nora was very informative and provided a lot of historical facts and cultural information. Worth the trip out!

• Burabay's beautiful nature

  This was a very special day, outside, in contact with Kazakhstan's beautiful nature. I will always remember Kazakhstan for it's great nature. Burabay is a national park about 3 hours outside Astana. It has a very beautiful lake and rocks. After an easy trekking thru the forest, you can enjoy very nice views from above. We had lunch on a traditional restaurant inside the park and did a small boat ride in the lake. On it's way we had the opportunity to observe the steppes that cover most of the country, and we also stopped to visit an interesting open air museum that reconstructs the houses of an old civilization (Botai), that lived in that region about 5.000 years ago.   From start to finish, the experience was excellent. We were picked up by our guide, Kadyrbek, at our hotel at exactly the agreed upon time. On the way and throughout the tour, we were given a lot of insightful information that helped us to better understand both Burabay and Kazakhstan. The sights we were shown were absolutely amazing and our guide helped us to capture great pictures. He was also really accommodating and helpful in translating things for us, and gave us great food recommendations. Throughout the trip we felt very safe and well taken care of, from being guided through a hike along unfamiliar terrain to being driven back safely through a blizzard.
