For thousands of years, human beings had a personal relationship with the night sky—a relationship that, over time, we have forgotten. At **Bajo la Noche de Atacama**, we believe it is time to recover that connection.
We don’t just want to talk about distances, temperatures, and sizes; we want to show you what cannot be seen. That’s why, through a human-centered narrative and astronomical observations with the naked eye and telescopes, we want to create an experience that will bring you closer to the sky.
Our tour includes:
- Stargazing sesions
- Observations through automatic telescopes
- Astrophotography session
- Coffee break with hot drinks, reserve or grand reserve wines, and sweet and savory snacks
- A campfire to end the observation
- A space for you to enjoy the sky however you wish
All of this in an unhurried experience in a natural space specially adapted to respect the environment, free of noise and light pollution.

The experience: A night under the Atacama sky in a quiet place and away from light pollution, and alongside people who love to look up at the sky. During our tour we will: - Laser pointer naked-eye sky observations with specialized guides in astronomy and sky observation - Observations through automatic telescopes of deep sky objects and solar system - Astrophotographic portraits: 1 photograph per person + 1 photograph per booking at least. - Campfire accompanied by reserve wines, hot drinks and snacks. We have prepared a detailed description of the experience on our website, so that you really know what we want to do and know that this is the observation experience you are looking for. 5.00Beautiful walk! The service was very good, transfer, facilities at the observatory, snacks offered and a very good guide. Rodrigo delighted with his knowledge, passing us a lot of information and answering the questions. I went with my 16-year-old daughter and we came out amazed.

5.00Absolutely amazing tour! Great and knowledgable guide that was very welcoming and helpful in getting good photos. It was a pleasure getting to learn star constellations while sitting around the fire and look through the telescopes.

5.00This was an unforgettable experience. It brought back my childhood looking for constellations in the sky with the exception being I can view them almost like a dream in the clear skies of San Pedro de Atacama. The guide was very knowledgeable and you could see his passion for astrology show in his work.

5.00A spectacular experience, exceeded all expectations. Rodrigo is a great knower of the sky, made a brilliant practical explanation of the constellations. We were lucky to have had a night with open skies able to see with the naked eye and via telescopes various stars and planets. At the end we were toasted with wine and snacks and beautiful photos.

5.00This tour was the highlight of our stay in San Pedro de Atacama. If you are planning to book a stargazing tour, this should be the one. Communication regarding pickups was excellent. We started the evening listening to Rodrigo share his vast knowledge and then were able to look through telescopes. He showed us how to take night sky photos with our phones. We ended the evening with snacks and drinks and a wood fire. An unforgettable experience, you will learn so much!

5.00Amazing! At first we were afraid to be in a distant and deserted place, very dark but that made us really see the most starry sky of life! With a telescope we saw Jupiter. Finally a delicious picnic! We made beautiful photos!

5.00It was a special night, where we saw the most starry sky of our lives. Rodrigo went through a lot of knowledge, besides having a wonderful voice. It was very helpful and helped my son take pictures with his cell phone. The site has telescopes and several mobile trips. It also has a fireplace (only on the end of the tour) and a simple snack. Photographer Pablo took wonderful photos and was also very friendly. We loved the walk. For my teenage son, it was the highlight of the journey.
Ordinary, tero tour. I don't recommend it.

1.00When we bought the tour we were offered a unique experience, including cocktails and toasts with wine or pisco sour. We pay to telescope the Moon, Jupiter and a nebulae, plus a couple of pictures. Otherwise...a scam. The explanation of each thing nor the speaker understood them (I was embarrassed by others) There was no introductory talk. -We do not visualize the outdoor constellations -A cocktail made of leftovers and old things (only tea and a water with a slice of lemon inside) and as we drank the tea, we were quickly put back in the van to return. Ordinary wherever you look. Being my third time traveling in San Pedro de Atacama and the third astronomical tour I take, I simply do not recommend it. At the agency they just asked us to send the details by wapp. We pay by transfer and receive no ballot or receipt of the transaction

5.00The Atacama is known for its dark skies and astronomical observatories. So getting out to see the southern night sky is a mist-do. I’m glad I picked this tour. Good transportation and communications, and Rodrigo is an excellent guide. He’s super knowledgeable, having written books on the subject. He started with stargazing with the “naked eye” and telling us lots of interesting stories, before taking us to see several celestial objects up close through professional telescopes. Rodrigo speaks slowly and clearly, and took time to answer questions. Note that it gets COLD out at night (even in mid-December) so bring layers. They provide blankets as well. At the end he shares wine, coffee, hot chocolate and a variety of sweet and savory snacks which are enjoyed around a campfire. We were picked up after midnight and arrived back at the hotels in town about 30 min later.

5.00Really enjoyable and interesting evening with Rodrigo - such a friendly and knowledgeable guide. The whole evening was very well organised and personal - he loves what he does and it shows! We got to see some spectacular sights through the two telescopes and learnt a lot as well - made us want to do more stargazing in future! We really enjoyed the atmosphere of the evening - sat around the fire pit at the end with drinks and food was lovely. Well worth the price. The group size was good - everyone had a good amount of time with the telescopes. Would definitely recommend!
