This is a truly Highlight-Experience: if you live in a big city then you will be amazed by the Southern Hemisphere Milky Way in it’s splendor. Imagine counting up to 6.000 naked-eye visible stars instead of the 30 that you may see in the urban light polluted sky – it is a big WOW!!!
We will go through the beauties of the night sky – looking for planets, stars, shooting stars, satellites, constellations and galaxies. We may elaborate on life outside Earth – based on Science and Philosophy, including the Fermi Paradox.
“Selfie-of-the-Stars”: an unforgettable picture of the group with the stars in the background taken with state-of-the-art photographic equipment will be handed over with resolution for social media usage (digital file).
Note: tours available from Last Quarter through First Quarter including New Moon phases, meteorology depended activity.

This is a great opportunity to look at the night sky with the milky way in its splendor in a dark sky with almost no light pollution (Bortle Class 1-2), a totally immersive and fascinating experience. It’s a must-see for people having an urban life - where starry skies no longer exist due to light pollution. No hiking is required (the stars are too far away). Cambara do Sul city is the base of this outdoor activity – located ca 200km from the nearest international airport in Porto Alegre/South Brazil. Activities: -Sunset phases, observing the dynamics of light; -Identification in the night sky of planets, stars, shooting stars, satellites, constellations and galaxies (using a high-power laser pointer); -Navigation using stars; -Light pollution and its effects; -Human and extraterrestrial life, the Fermi Paradox; -Preparation/registration of the “Selfie-of-the-Stars”; -Naked eye sky observation (no telescopes are used); -Duration: 4h (typically 17:00-21:00h, Winter 16:30-20:30h/Summer 18:00-22:00h). -Minimum age: 16 years old

5.00The astronomical tour with Egon exceeded expectations. The region where the tour takes place is amazing and really enables a clean and amazing view of the Milky Way to the naked eye. The Egon drive is also excellent, we liked it a lot and it is a kind of ride that I would definitely do again!!! If you are a curious person about the cosmos, like astronomy and deep questioning about life, the universe and everything else, you will not regret taking this tour!

Well-told stories and connections with everyday life are well tied, easy to understand. It was important to understand, superficially, the messages of the celestial stars.

5.00The tour is amazing! A unique experience! Egon has a lot of knowledge and knows how to transmit super didactically, and with a good dose of humor! Cambará has a super clear sky to observe the sky and the place where the tour takes place is a separate attraction. We were able to see the Milky Way (beautiful), the constellation of Orion, the cruise from the south, falling stars (meteors), satellites, among other celestial wonders! It's a super special ride! I highly recommend!

5.00The experience is unique and I recommend it to everyone. In addition to all contemplation, which alone is already worth the go, Egon’s ability to share knowledge and the responsibility he has in doing so is exceptional. Access to the place is very good, with ground road in good condition. The natural landscape in the chosen place is also worth it, either by nature or by sunset. In terms of nightly visibility, for star contemplation, the low light pollution of the region contributes to the experience. As I had had a previous experience on a night tour elsewhere, the tour proposed by Egon surpassed much and was surprising. As you say: 1. Bring warm clothes. Be suitable jacket, blouse, touch, pants and shoes. I don't have that cold, because I live in a cold city, but as the experience is high, I sell quite a lot. 2. Prioritize lighter clothes and "autumn tones", as this will make a lot of difference in the photos - the highlight it generates is very good. 3. Also take what to eat. There are no open places in the region, so you can't go in "freestyle" mode and with the thought of after we see where to eat there.
