We meet at Monastiraki Square, then stroll through graffiti-filled alleys to our first stop—a relaxed setting to break the ice over drinks.
From there, we barhop through three spots, each with a unique vibe. Along the way, we’ll play bar games, share travel stories, and swap local tips for the best nightlife.
By the end, you’ll have new friends, great memories, and insider recommendations on where to keep the party going. Best booked early in your trip!

From the meeting point, We walk as a group to the first bar, a lively small street-side bar and one of my favorite spots. On their wall, a monthly rotation of art exhibits, oftentimes they’re hosting pop up bazaars outside. Great roaster of DJ's and oftentimes jam sessions occur. Drinks options: delicious cocktails, mixed drinks, wine and beer.

Getting to the Second Bar for the night, One of the most original Punk & Post-punk bars in a very vibrant and busy street, offering table service, indoor and outdoor seating. DJ’s play, new wave, synth wave, post punk, etc. Drinks options: cocktails, mixed drinks and local brewed beers.

5.00We went out with George on a Wednesday night and had the most fantastic time. I really wish it hadn't worked out to be our last night in Athens because I would have loved to have visited the bars he took us to again or had time to visit the other spots he pointed out on the tour. George was friendly and fun and really good at breaking the ice between the groups on the tour. You never know who you'll meet too! One of the other people on the tour ended up not only on the same cruise as us the next day, but literal cabin neighbors, so we made a cruise friend before even getting on!

5.00This bar tour I can heartily recommend. The promise of discovering "alternative bars off the beaten track" made me curious and did not disappoint my expectations. You actually have the opportunity to discover this vibrant city from a side that is otherwise hidden from tourists. In addition, George is a prudent host who also likes to give individual tips and with whom you can have great conversations on top of that. As a solo traveler, I always felt safe and in good hands and was grateful that he also gave us recommendations for the way home. Gladly again at any time!

5.00A night to be remembered!! Being a student in Athens (20 years back), i really missed that alternative vibe of having fun, mingling with strangers, forgetting to check my cell and so many more.. If u are a mainstream person don’t bother, in any other case go for it and thank me later 😜

5.00this tour was amazing! George was a fantastic guide. We were able to go to bars that we would have never found otherwise. Bonus points: all the bars are locally owned! They were super cool spots, and our group got along great. You can leave anytime, but our group ended up out until 2 am. And I rarely stay out that late. That’s how fun it was. Cannot recommend enough

5.00George was amazing, and so was this entire tour!! My friend and I were visiting from NYC and LA to celebrate our 30th birthdays, and the types of places he took us to were perfect: very cool, underground local spots that had great music and drinks. George was so friendly and fun and gave us a nice little history of the area too. Other guests in the group were wonderful as well
