Join us for a unique day trip from Athens to Meteora, blending sacred heritage with the beauty of the Greek coastline. Unlike typical tours that stop at highway service areas, we take you to peaceful seaside villages for brunch and dinner, right by the water, with refreshing sea views.
In Meteora, a local English-speaking tour leader shares the history and stories of this UNESCO World Heritage Site during the journey and at each stop. You will visit three monasteries (entrance fees not included), enjoy photo stops at all six, and explore the hermit caves of Badovas. Inside the monasteries, visits are self-guided, enhanced by a smart audio guide featuring 21 points of interest in 10 languages. A traditional lunch in Kastraki can be prebooked and is included when this rate option is selected.
On the return, enjoy an optional sunset dinner by the sea in Kamena Vourla—an ideal ending to a day full of nature and culture.
Arrival in Athens is around 22:30.

Dress Code for Monastery Visits: Please note that a modest dress code is enforced to enter the monasteries. For women, skirts below the knee or longer are required. Pants, shorts, or sleeveless shirts are not allowed. For men, sleeveless clothing and shorts above the knee are also prohibited.
Rain or Shine: This tour will take place regardless of the weather conditions. Please come prepared with appropriate clothing and accessories to ensure a comfortable experience.
Climbing Steps to Monastery Tops: Please be aware that reaching the top of the monasteries involves climbing steps. There are no elevators available, so please consider this if you have any mobility concerns.
Please make sure you have cash for the monasteries 5 euro each entrance. There is no ATM machine in the area.
Supplier is not responsible if you miss the bus please be there on time (15 minutes before the departure)
Tour is guided in English only. Additional languages (Spanish, French German, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Russian, Chinese, Korean, Japanese) are available on a free SMART audio guide.
At midday, you will enjoy a relaxing break in the picturesque village of Kastraki, where you can savor a delicious traditional Greek meal at a local restaurant. You will have the option to choose from 10 authentic Greek dishes, catering to all dietary preferences: Meat & Poultry Options: Chicken baked in the oven with potatoes Meatballs in red sauce (Soutzoukakia) Pastitsio (Greek-style lasagna) Moussaka Vegetarian Choices: Greek salad Spinach and feta cheese pie Cheese pie Vegan Options: Stuffed peppers & tomatoes with risotto (Gemista) Briam (Greek-style roasted vegetables) Giant beans baked in the oven (Gigantes) Bread and water are included with the meal. If you prefer, you can also choose and pay for your meal directly at the restaurant.

4.00Meteora is definitely worth the visit. The bus ride was comfortable. I gave it four stars because the “brunch” on the way to meteora was subpar. They bring you back to the same restaurant for dinner. The lunch was not that great either. Best driver and informative guide. We learned lot of history and enjoyed the experience.

5.00The tour was a long one but worth every min of it. The breakfast and dinner restaurant was very good. Meteora is defintely one of a kind and it is better to visit in person. High recommended the tour.

5.00Even though the bus ride to and from were long, this turned out to be an outstanding trip. We had pleasant weather and thoroughly enjoyed seeing the impressive rock formations and visiting 3 of the monasteries built among the rocks . Our guide at Meteora, Maria was so informed and we loved her dry sense of humor. Breaks every 2 hours to get a bite of food, use the restroom and stretch our legs was appreciated. We would definitely recommend this tour to others despite the long bus ride.

5.00We had a wonderful trip to Meteora! Our guide and driver Eleni and Katarina were fantastic. Note that the bus leaves right at 8am - I would recommend arriving 30 minutes early and carefully read the meeting point instructions. Also note that the trip itself is a really long day - it was well worth it but be prepared to not be back until after 10pm.

5.00An incredible experience. It is a long trip from Athens but 100 percent worth it. The trip is very well organized with a good number of stops. You can order bunch from the bus and select from a variety of delicious lunch options. Then you can preorder dinner and have it waiting for you on the return trip. The monasteries and views are incredible to see and can’t be missed. 10/10!
