My 30 years of experience as a Press Photographer and tutor, immersing myself in every corner of Athens and having explored every facet of this beautiful art form, ensures that you’ll learn the art and secrets of photography and experience the city from an insider’s perspective. Either a pro photographer or just starting, you will capture stunning images of Athens to proudly share with friends and family!

Acropolis
Seeing the Acropolis is essential and the epitome of a visit to Athens. Live the experience of photographing one of the most iconic monuments in the world up close! Additionally, we throw in some street photography, taking advantage of the tourism scene and the crowds consisting of very interesting characters that provide photo opportunities and interesting juxtapositions. Also, great panoramic views of the city of Athens will add a nice background to it, as will impressive urban landscape photos.

Through the scenic paths of Plaka at the foothills of the Acropolis, we discover the area of old Athens and the island-look area of Anafiotika. Everything under the warm Athenian sun that shines almost throughout the whole year! Our photo walk will pass by the most picturesque spots and reveal fantastic photographic opportunities!

5.00Meeting Vasilis and learning photography and Athens was a highlight of my short stay in Athens last week. My colleague and I booked a late afternoon/evening walking tour and a sunrise tour with Vasilis. That was all the free time we had for the trip and we were just so glad that's how we spent the time. He is a wonderful photographer and so keen to teach. To quote him, "That's my goal in life, to put people into photography. Happier people, less wars." His love for his country and photography was contagious and inspiring. Walking and photographing next to a kind-hearted and wise man like Vasilis made me feel incredibly grateful for life. This is a fond memory that I will cherish for a very long time. I hope I get to visit Athens again and will find Vasilis again for sure!

5.00I had a superb tour with the very knowledgable Vasilis. His chat, sense of humour, knowledge of the city, and professional enthusiasm for photography (and showing off the best of his city) are second to none. He immediately put me at my ease and once l began to show him some of my photos he was full of ideas and subtle coaching suggestions of better places to stand, or angles to use, or how to pick just the right moment to take my next photo. Athens is one of those places that seems to be on every traveller's wish list - it makes sense to spend that ambition wisely by being with a guide as pleasant and expert as Vasilis. I think I will return to the Athens area just for another photo walk (maybe the riviera?) - I enjoyed it that much.
