We invite you to a night dedicated to searching for that frail beauty called Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights. With Vidar, our professional photographer and local guide, you'll get plenty of attention and tips on how to capture the best possible photos of the Aurora Borealis. During the tour he will share stories about Troll, and its legends and myths.
Of course, you are welcome to join our tour with or without a camera. Our guide will also take photos of the aurora to share. We provide you with all the gear needed (winter suits and dry boots), and like this you can fully enjoy this tour, even if it is freezing cold outside.
Later in the evening our guide will take your portrait and send it to you via email. We will spend plenty of time under the open sky; we will not miss anything up there! Come with us on a truly amazing adventure.
If your dates (or hours) are not available in our calendar, just drop us a message, and we will do out best to arrange something for you!

5.00Vidar and Kevin, out tour guides, are total pros, the experience was wonderful, beyond words, seeing the northen lights was a magical experience. I thought we were not going to ve able to see the that night because it was very cloudy, but Vidar and Kevin knew what to do and were to go and we were able to see hours of bright nortjen lights, thank you so much! They also gave us equipment, tripods for our phones, a delicious soup, snacks and warm beverages. They took the most amaxing pictures of us under the northen lights. I will remember this forever and I recomend this tour 1000%.

5.00Our experience hunting Northern Lights in Tromsø with Vidar, Silvia and Kevin from Creative Vacations was absolutely extraordinary. From the first minute they demonstrated an uncommon attention to detail, especially travelling with children. They cared about every aspect of the tour: safety, weather, stops, rest times and even small gestures to make our children comfortable and happy throughout the night. The treatment was always delicate, close and professional, with sincere dedication to make sure we lived an unforgettable experience. Thanks to your patience, your explanations and your passion for what you do, we were able to enjoy one of the most beautiful nights that we will remember as a family. (thanks to the photos you took, which are from another planet!!) One more detail: we forgot a pair of gloves that brought us to our hotel the next day. We recommend them without hesitation: traveling with them is a guarantee of care, quality and magic.

5.00I was lucky to be part of a small group so it felt like almost private tour. I had Kevin and he as very cool and accommodating and kind. we shared our wold experiences in a nice conversation and he gave lots of info about northern lights. It was cool and he takes this job seriously because at some point we had been bothered by some of the cars that didn't bother keeping lower volume or turn off the lights he moved us again further into the land with nice fluffy snow for complete privacy and darkness for me honestly was very important this ( i have done tours previously who dont bother for these things) and so much i appreciated a lot - so that we can have the best possible experience and we sure did. He even had a phone tripod for me which many tours do not provide so i was able to take some cool shots on my iphone as he showed me how and honestly i was surprised my phone can do this. result photos done by him were magical.

2.00Last November 13th we hired Creative Vacations because we had been recommended by some people who agreed on another tour. They warned us that it was more expensive but they guaranteed you a small group of 2 to 7 people in Spanish. After deciding to make the economic effort against other cheaper tours, we find the first surprise, the group is 9 people and we have to divide. We are told that it is only the short journey and in the face of the total blockade we decided to collaborate and we offer, to try to help (blessed the time), in the other van that were only 2 people, who had hired him in French. Regardless of the theme of the auroras (we know it is a lottery every night). Our experience has been MUCH WORSE than with tours that have a large bus, which are around half price. Where they give you the information in different languages and where they speak for everyone through the public address of the bus. In the vans we went (or minibus) the rear seats barely heard the guides with the noise of the wheels on the icy asphalt. I don’t think it’s the guides’ fault because they behaved great, they tried to summarize in 15’ what they had talked about during the 90’ outbound trip, there were many conversations they referred to that they had talked about before and we had not heard (config. From the camera, life in Norwegian,...). Despite the effort and affection shown our disappointment was total, a feeling of being a second product (as if we had paid less than the rest or had done us a favor for being full the group). I repeat, the guides carried 10, but we hired a tour of Max 7 people (we were at least 9) and in Spanish, (being 85% in English/French). After setting up camp and being there about 1 hour without much fortune, we got back in the vehicles to look for a new place and finally returned to Tromso, (being shorter than the big bus tour we hired 2 days before). If you finally decide to hire this tour, do not make the same mistake of offering (to help) change minibuses and get the product you have paid for.

5.00We had an absolutely magical experience with Creative Vacations on our Northern Lights hunting excursion in Tromsø. Accompanied by Kevin, our guide and photographer, we not only had the chance to admire this magnificent natural spectacle, but also to live an unforgettable moment: the proposal of my fiancé. Kevin has shown great kindness and remarkable professionalism. He took the time to guide us with passion, to share his knowledge about the aurora, and above all to capture this unique moment with beautiful photos. Thanks to him, we will keep precious memories of this evening out of time. We highly recommend Creative Vacations to anyone who wants to experience an authentic and magical adventure in Norway. 5.00Unforgettable experience, we had a wonderful evening thanks to our guide Kevin, everything was very well organized in every detail, explanations about the aurora on the program and friendly time around the wood fire, we did not get cold thanks to the suits and heaters 👍, and the aurora were there 🤩🤩.
